Re: Federal Election May 18, 2019!

The thing that really gets me is that few to none of them are there for the good of the country, they are there for the good of the party.

Re: Federal Election May 18, 2019!

Both of the majors are fucked as always.

Assuming they are running, I'll probably preference Greens first then whoever's running for Labor since I hate them less. Hooray politics :angry-cussingargument:

Re: Borderlands 3!

Anybody care that it's an Epic store exclusive for 6 months?

I've heard a lot of hate for the Epic store, though I don't believe I've used it myself.

Even though it's April now https://i.imgur.com/I4WH8T4.png This was a replacement for the Corsiar K55+Harpoon bundle I bought late last week. The control software kept killing both of them as soon as it loaded. Even Corsair basically gave up after my first support ticket and said to return them :thi...

What is it with the anti-cat crowd and wanting to murder people's pets? You don't hear much about it for other pets, even ones that can do a lot of harm.

You would think they'd have that kind of stuff better organised. Even though it's free, that is something that is guaranteed to piss off paying customers. I've also found out it's surprisingly difficult to buy cryptocurrency. Wanted to buy a few cheap coins as a gift for a work colleague but every s...

Re: Fleeting/Random/Thoughts

Whoever it was is having fun and not doing any harm in the process. That should be encouraged regardless of how old one is.

There was an old guy who used to dance all the time in Rundle Mall. Not really busking, just dancing. He seemed pretty happy.

Re: Fleeting/Random/Thoughts

They complain because it costs a lot for something they "could have done themselves". Reality is they can't, or at least nowhere near the level of quality and speed.

He can say fake news, but can't arrest or kill journalists critical of him, such as in Turkey, Saudi Arabia, or Hungary.
Well not openly at least.

Might be something on Glassdoor as well.

In other news, is it just me or has EB Games actually increased their prices for the Boxing Day sale? eg I bought Spiderman off them for $29 around Black Friday, currently it's on "sale" for $57.

I don't, but I do plan on seeing if lillet blanc makes for an acceptable substitution for red vermouth in a negroni.

Even if it doesn't, I'm still going to drink it.
Could always make a vesper instead ;)

Unless the tech companies push back properly with something like a boycott, I doubt the legislation will change. Only other thing that might do it is the inevitable massive breach provided they can't blame it on something else.

Yeah the right food helps a lot. The cat stays indoors and only gets indoor cat food - minimal smells. The dog is out during the day and eats whatever, loves to snuggle and fart lots at night.

Re: Show Us Your Latest Purchase - November 2018

It's a balance between the smell and cleanup vs kitty killing wildlife and getting into fights.

For me the cat can stay inside so I don't have to deal with vets often and whatever damage to the neighborhood birds. No smell from the litter tray in the rest of the house 99% of the time.
