Re: Fleeting/Random/Thoughts

I hope I get selected, this is the third time I've been called in, wasn't picked the previous two times.

As the trial could go up until 20th December, I rather suspect there will be a lot of people trying to get out of it.

Re: Fleeting/Random/Thoughts

Jesus, that took a long time but everything is finalised and signed off... finish up current role on 20th* December, start new role on 6th January. (*Have been summonsed for Jury Duty from 9th December for a trial potentially lasting up to 2 weeks, so if I go and get picked and it goes for 2 weeks, ...

Re: Fleeting/Random/Thoughts

Yeah, I'm pretty excited - the largest project I've worked on for them was under 2 million and this is a 685 million dollar project, so it's a bit of a big deal. The waiting is killing me though, this has been in the works/in negotiation for 4-5 weeks and I'm soooooooo ready.

Re: Fleeting/Random/Thoughts

Back to Mining... been offered a ridiculous (good ridiculous, not bad ridiculous) amount of money to go back and work on a project with them. Verbally offered and accepted, just waiting on paperwork which is taking a stupid amount of time... and nothing is concrete until the papers are signed IMO.

Re: Fleeting/Random/Thoughts

Anxiously awaiting a long overdue employment contract, so I can resign and move on from my current role.

The kinda anxious where I feel I may need to medicate.

Re: Fleeting/Random/Thoughts

We're safe where we are at the moment, but the ground is so dry and the wind is so bad that it wouldn't take much for things to change - it's an awful time for everyone involved. I'm looking to take up a volunteer position in the local command centre doing radio/dispatch work at some point in the Ne...

A beginners resin kit to have a crack at what I learned in the class at home, and perhaps knock together some neat gifts.

Re: Our Art (visual)

As part of my mental health treatment, I had an assignment to do something I want to do, but it has to involve other people and I can't take anyone I know with me. I signed up for a Resin Art Class. It took a couple of attempts and a whole lot of internal dialogue to get me there, but this is the re...

Re: Fleeting/Random/Thoughts

Yeah, it's nice to sit out on the deck at Sirromet and have a bite to eat and some vino... even Dad likes it there, and he's not really into the winery scene.

Re: Fleeting/Random/Thoughts

Yes/no/sort of.... my family are Brisbane Bayside (Wellington Point area), but one of my close mates moved to Ormeau about a year ago and we were visiting them last Thursday night when that big downpour hit :) They're just near the high school, it's a nice spot there.

Ours is about 13 years old, it's getting a bit noisy these days. I'll flip it on Gumtree as a beer fridge or something.

Re: Show us your latest purchase - Spring 2019

So I was not very smart over the weekend and bought myself a Longboard skateboard... never done any skateboarding before in my life. Why is my husband posting under Mini's account? Also in the process of buying a house... offer made, contracts signed, finance approved. Now just waiting on the build...

Could there be anything more boring than the Apple -v- Android argument?
