Re: Tabletop Gaming

There's normally a local group or something where you can do a looking for group post, even in Tassie. Other option is something online like roll20. Just try to get with a group you think you can get along with as people, then RPGs are easy.

This is my connection via the hated ones

It's actually gotten better recently. Used to always pick a server in Sydney or Melbourne as that was the first peering stop for Adelaide. Guess they added a local PoP.

Re: The Craft Beer Thread

Best advice for homebrewing, make sure everything you use is as clean and sterile as you can get it. Any containments can make what would be tasty become truly awful. Just grab a Coopers or basic Brewmaster kit to start with. They normally give you all the bits for your first brew as well as full in...

Re: Christmas Traditions

Didn't they do that in the office?

I haven't seen too many Kris Kringles, even normal ones, end well unfortunately. Generally at least one person breaks the 'rules' and makes others upset.

Re: Fleeting/Random/Thoughts

It's a mainstream news site. Checking costs money and might cost them a good story. This way they get to post the original story about how shocking stealing from blind people is, then get to post about how an irresponsible organiser is faking videos for false outrage. Also, everyone's avatar is on t...

Re: Recommend an ISP to churn to

As above, if anything like GoN was mentioned in the contract you may be able to get out of it without paying the cancellation fee, possibly the TPG merger might do it too. TIO might help if what's left of Internode won't help.

Re: The Craft Beer Thread

Has anybody ever tried Tactical Nuclear Penguin from Brewdog? The ludicrous $170 per bottle from Dan Murphy's prevented me when it was available but I'm a bit curious how it was.

Re: Recommend an ISP to churn to

It's really annoying. I feel like churning but TPG are so cheap and the money (or my lack of lots of it) always wins out in the end.

Re: Game Deals, Sales & Specials!

Want to buy a copy of Witcher 3 now that I have a new video card. Anybody know of anywhere not completely dodgy cheaper than OzGameShop at $39.99?

GMG has it cheaper after a voucher, but of course they are out of stock.
