Re: Show Us Your Latest Purchase - July 2018

Isn't there some sort of retailer code of conduct that says they should give it for free if it rings up wrong for at least the first item?

A couple of pairs of Ugg Boots off eBay

Was going to get the exact same off of Groupon but for some stupid reason they won't let me combine shipping even though they are from the same seller.

Well if they had of kept to the original plan it would have been great, since the fibre can be upgraded to 1 gbps. As of now with the mess they've made of it plenty of people are better off on their old connections.

Re: Fleeting/Random/Thoughts

Also, FTTH with a good provider is better overall ;) Yeah but who's got an actual FTTH connection and not some bastardization version of it? If you're in the right neighbourhood, or even on the right side of the street you're lucky enough to have it, meanwhile the rest of Aus gets screwed. Well I s...

Steam Link appears to be on sale for $2.50 - https://store.steampowered.com/search/?term=steam+link

Not sure how one would actually get it for that price.

Re: Fleeting/Random/Thoughts

Problem with 4G/5G is that it's expensive, a bit laggy at times and can get congested. Nobody (but you) is crazy enough to download large files lest they get an enormous overage charge from their provider, so congestion is normally pretty low. I remember running a speed test once on 4G. Came back at...

Think I watched a little bit of it a while ago. Reminded me a bit too much of Hercules/Xena and missed some of the darker themes from the book.

@Darius359au - Sounds awesome - post some pics when you're done

Re: Show Us Your Latest Purchase - June 2018

You need to pick up some Armaforce ;) That stuff is brilliant What does it actually do? It looks like it only has echinacea, vitamin c, zinc, olive leaf and andrographis so pretty much just a normal vitamin/herb tablet. Unless I'm looking at the wrong one? Only one I haven't seen before if androgra...

Considering Steam put pretty much zero effort into moderation, some moderation would be good. Can't overreach if you don't even try.

To be fair to the board, they have to deal with the requirements set by the politicians that put in the R classification. IIRC If there's any positive side to narcotics use, RC.

Reseating the RAM and all PCI devices is generally a good idea too. Have to rotate and reseat the RAM in my partner's PC around once every 6 months.

Re: Fleeting/Random/Thoughts

Yeah have a bunch of old GW paints sitting in a biscuit tin. I really prefer the dropper bottles and Vallejo had a good range, price and quality when I started buying paints again. Getting harder to get for a reasonable price in Australia though.

Watched it last night. Was certainly good, not sure how to feel. A few fun questions raised Of those planets where Thanos had already killed half the population, did they get halved again? Seems a bit unfair. Since Groot vanished, what happens to the handle on Thor's fancy new axe? Does Thanos reall...

Re: Fleeting/Random/Thoughts

Old phone cable to our house fell from the street post today. Have NBN so it's not needed, but unsure what to do.

Guess I'll have to contact Telstra or something. Anybody know if they have a contact email address? I don't feel like being on hold for an hour for something that doesn't matter too much.
