Re: Fleeting/Random/Thoughts

It's not like the two of you are on a deadline within which you must get to know each other sufficiently in order to make some form of decision. There's a LOT of ways to get to know someone that doesn't involve moving out of your home and into theirs, such as taking a holiday or, hell, even a weeken...

Re: Fleeting/Random/Thoughts

The downfalls of working somewhere with only two employees... my colleague is on annual leave and I was up half the night vomiting. Really no choice but to go to work, even though I'm breaching terms of my employment by doing so. Fun times.

Re: Fleeting/Random/Thoughts

There's been seats outside stores in shopping malls for decades, it's not a new concept. One day you'll get comfortable enough in your relationship that, instead of sitting there like a puppy dog, you'll just go look at something else that interests you and agree to meet up somewhere in half an hour...

Re: Show us your latest purchase - Autumn 2019

Oh you will probably get more than that - if Hungry Jacks and hiking sticks gets you x-rated photographs essentially 5 minutes after you've met, then just imagine what discount flowers can do.

In Sydney all week for work, which means being separated from the husband. Not something either of us are fond of.

How did she like her discount anniversary flower pack?

Must be almost time for you to share a loved up photo of the happy couple, Mugsy?

The husband and I have shared plenty

Fur children needed something warmer for when we're at work and they're restricted to the unheated laundry/outside areas.

Re: Fleeting/Random/Thoughts

Thanks Mugsy, that link seems to have the info I'm after - considering applying for a Client Services role at the Court House, it just says it's Clerk Grade 3/4 but doesn't go into further details of what that really means. I'm having a few issues where I am and think that it may be best for me to c...

Re: Fleeting/Random/Thoughts

Anyone here a government worker and know where I can find an accurate breakdown/description of what a Clerk Grade 3/4 is?

Most stuff I've been able to find on google seems a little outdated.

Re: Federal Election May 18, 2019!

A $60,000 car that physically cannot get me from my home to my parents home even if I did want to fanny about having massive fucking breaks for charging IS a shitty product. I fail to see how that is 'nonsense' just because it doesn't align with greenie views. From a practical standpoint, it is over...

Re: Federal Election May 18, 2019!

Okay, let's ditch the Nissan Leaf and talk about the Hyundai Kona. It will travel just over 400kms per charge, on a 100kW DC Charger it will take an hour to charge back to 100% - on a 1000km journey, sure we stop for breaks, but there ain't no one travelling that far that's fannying about for an hou...

Re: Show us your latest purchase - Autumn 2019

Oh, and I gave her reassurance that nothing was going to go up her you know what (despite my busy hands probably going around that area). That got me in the good books. So, I'm trying to envisage how this works but it's not quite coming together for me... you met her nine days ago, you decided to b...

After a week of battling illness post-holiday, I was in desperate need of an outing this morning... so after cooking us eggs on toast with maple bacon for breakfast, my favourite human drove us across to the village of Canowindra where we visited Coco Harvest. which is adorable: https://i.imgur.com/...

Re: Show us your latest purchase - Autumn 2019

Ew. In need of some casual 'jumpers' for weekends throughout the colder months, I threw out my two hoodies when we did a wardrobe cleanout as I'd had them since before I met Disco meaning they were about 10 years old and had lived their best life already. Given how well those ones lasted, picked up ...

Re: Federal Election May 18, 2019!

Even so, unless my car charges to full in the same time it takes me to throw in a tank of fuel, I'm not and will never be interested. I don't believe the technology is anywhere near sustainable enough for regional living as it currently stands. Currently there's about 750kms of road without a single...

Re: Fleeting/Random/Thoughts

I've been adventuring with my favourite human, thought I'd share a few pictures with anyone who is interested: Our first stop was the beautiful Amedee Island, which we accessed via a boat from Noumea - there was a lighthouse, a gift shop, a lovely lunch, some traditional dancing, quite a few sea sna...

Re: Federal Election May 18, 2019!

All reputable sources seem to indicate a typical electric car with a 60kWh battery takes just under 8 hours to charge from empty-to-full with a 7kW charging point. I can't charge my phone in minutes. I'll believe I can fully charge a car from flat to 100% full in "minutes" when I see it.

Re: Federal Election May 18, 2019!

You've missed the point. It doesn't take me 7 hours to refuel my car. If we take the Nissan Leaf as an example, and a trip to visit my parents in Brisbane. A typical road trip there for us takes 12 hours, we only need to refuel once as my car smashes out about 700-800 kilometres to a tank... but let...
