Game of Thrones (Season 8) - SPOILERS

I don't think anyone is surprised by this. GoT S8 will air in 2019...

http://www.darkhorizons.com/game-of-thr ... -for-2019/

I wonder how long each episode will be when they say movie length... 1.5hr, 2hrs, maybe more for the finale?

So no TV for me next year with GoT and Doctor Who not airing.

Not surprised, yet somehow, still disappointed.

Wait... Disco watched GoT? I thought it wasn't your cup of tea? Or am I mistaking you for someone else...?

Guhh, 2019 though! Really??
I'm not surpised, there was already speculation about it being then anyways... still though...

And no Doctor Who either??
Just when I thought 2017 sucked - 2018's going to be doubly shit.

Yeah man, enjoy the hell out of it, always have - apart from all of the episodes with Daenerys prior to this season

Huh? I thought S7 was the last one?

Nah... season 7's ending doesn't tie up the story... it just basically converges the bulk of the storylines together.

Ah right... I don't think I finished S6 anyway :D

Showed exactly why GRRM is taking so long to write the damn books. That climax felt contrived and implausible.

I'd take that over never finishing the story, which is exactly what's going to happen from GRRM's perspective

If nothing else, it'll give me a chance to watch some of the many good shows I've heard about but haven't had a chance to watch yet.

Other than Westworld, there's Better Call Saul, The Bridge, Narcos, Bojack Horseman, True Detective, American Gods, and maybe possibly hopefully Fargo.

I just hope that Westworld is mid year, otherwise it'll be far too long.

I wonder if that 3rd Hanks/Spielberg WW2 HBO show will ever happen...

Jessica Jones S2 & Daredevil S3 is what I'm looking forward to. Want to get stuck into Narcos too.

Saw an episode of Red Dwarf season 12 on iView the other day. Didn't even know they had released season 12. I still haven't watched s11!

I haven't heard much on this front myself. Would be good... Loved Band of Brothers and The Pacific.

I just got the Red Dwarf S12 Blu-ray for Xmas. Excited to get stuck in to it. Always good special features too.

Confirmed as 2019

Siiiiiigh.

At least this gives them some time to work out what they can do for a spinoff.

I feel like the delay isn't so they can have a break.

Season 7 was late because the production was taking a lot longer.

- More big battles, takes longer to film
- More CGI for the big battles and big moments, takes longer to make
- Everyone is converging, so you can't have multiple units shooting simultaneously

Season 8 is more of this, probably worse really.

At least the episodes will be a bit longer, hopefully a big 1.5-2 hour finale episode.

Yeah, if we get 1.5-2hr episodes, that'll be worth it. It's battle spectaculars in S8 that's for sure.

Unofficially confirmed by Maisie Williams that season 8 is planned to be aired in April 2019.

I can really see Emilia Clarke as the nemesis if they ever do a Bad Neighbors 3... or even just a UK remake.

Wow, she really seems down to earth which is great considering the success she has had. Made me laugh a few times - thanks for sharing.

I keep thinking I'll re-watch everything before season 8 comes out but I wont. I can't wait till Season 8.

At least they're relatively short seasons, not 20+ episodes long. It could be done!
