Are they all getting combined into one body that identifies as 8 people with 8 distinct sexualities?

Watched What We Do In The Shadows for the first time last night, that is a really fun film. Afterwards I texted my little brother who works in the film industry about it and he sends me a photo back of him with Taika Waititi! Lucky bastard has his dream job.

What does your brother do, Sath?

I need some help with flick selection. Every Saturday we rent a movie off the xbox store but we're running out of options. Of what we haven't seen, our choices are;

Game Night
Den of Thieves
Death Wish
Transformers: The Last Knight
Downsizing
Red Sparrow
The Dark Tower
American Assassin

That's about it. My wife likes movies with lots of action (I couldn't pay her to watch an episode of, say, The West Wing).

Two hours until kick-off, please help!

He's the program manager for a cinema chain, organises sessions at their various cinemas for the films they are showing etc. He also makes some amazing movie miniatures, check out some of his work

I'd suggest Game Night if it's not too late. I've heard negative comments about a lot of the ones on that list, but that movie went alright.

I didn't mind Downsizing (good premise but lost it's way by the end) and The Dark Tower (decent action flick that left me wishing it was a HBO series instead - the folklore was hunted at and skimmed over).

FMD, those figurines are bloody amazing!

So I decided to finally try out Netflix, hooray for free month! I watched Bright last night and enjoyed it, I reckon I'd happily watch it as a series. Then, I started watching Stranger Things which is interdasting so far.

I used to bag Netflix et. al, but I can kinda see the appeal and even the $10p/m SD tier looks good enough to me, quality wise.

I enjoyed Get Out. Always good to watch a sufficiently creepy horror film.

I've started web browsing while watching the last few episodes of Westworld. Not a good sign at all. How could it all go downhill so quickly after that great first season?

My wife and I watched the fist two episodes of The Rain on Netflix last night. Seemed decent with some tense moments but it also had a pretty big "why would you do that!?!?!" moment as well that was used to setup the series.

A mate of mine got me to put on the first episode of Legion the other night, and holy shit... it looks like it will be REALLY good. Not what I expected at all.

Watching season 3 of The Tunnel. The show really did well to honour the spirit of The Bridge, while doing a fantastic job to localise it and tell its own story.

Nordic noir is really quite a revelation in the crime fiction genre. While so much crime drama deals with the extremes of human nature, Nordic noir recognises that the extremes of humanity take their personal toll on everyone and anyone, and solving the crime doesn't make for a happy ending or necessarily anything better.

Race for the White House

If you like your politics firmly in the real world, at that point this six-part documentary should be right up your street.

Thanks to Netflix recommendations, we binged season one of a Canadian comedy about a Korean family running a convenience store, called Kim's Convenience. It's pretty funny stuff.

I have to say, there's a few good looking dramas that'll be coming out of the BBC...

The Cry looks interesting... and I'm not just saying that because Jenna Coleman is in it.

Finally got to watch the Lost In Space reboot on Netflix. Binged all 10 episodes over 3 days, I think? Was a little skeptical of another reboot beforehand, but it's really good! Really good story overall, great visual effects work, even the costumes were fantastic.

Probably watching Santa Clarita Diet S2 next. Watching all of Smallville has really put me behind on my binge watching. :)

Watched the first ep of "Who is America?" last night, Sasha Baron Cohen is a goddamn genius. This time he is playing 4 different characters and they are all convincing, amazing make-up too. Very sharp satire which has several layers to it going at once.
