Basic Instinct

Yeah, I know, shame on me. Apart from having seen the famous leg uncrossing/crossing scene which was "rite of passage" viewing for any teenager in the 90s anyway, I had not seen the full movie till now because I had found the whole premise utterly silly. Well, I still find it utter silly. I suspect this is better than Verhoeven's work on Showgirls.

Watched the first ep of "Who is America?" last night, Sasha Baron Cohen is a goddamn genius. This time he is playing 4 different characters and they are all convincing, amazing make-up too. Very sharp satire which has several layers to it going at once.
Watching it now. This is quite painful, and it's amazing how tolerant the people are to put up with his shit.

Same Disco, never really liked him.

I'm finally catching up with Preacher. Started it when S1 came out, then it fell by the wayside for some reason.

I'm watching Disenchantment... 0/10 so far. The whole thing just seems uninspired and bland. The animation and voices don't fit and the writing isnt remotely funny.

That's a shame that Disenchantment isn't living up to expectations.

So I'd grabbed a trial Amazon Prime in order to get Twitch Prime in order to get free stuff for Warframe (Trinity Prime!). I didn't realise it had given me access to Prime Video...

...and holy shit... The Man In The High Castle. Is anyone else watching this? Crazy good.

They had Groening on The Weekly interviewed by Briggs and apparently Briggs's episode is in season 2.... it's supposed to be the most bloody and violent episode they have done :P

Jack Ryan came out today on Prime. I am a massive Tom Clancy fan having read all the books when I was younger... so to see John Krasinski playing the man who will be president... so excited!

The Jack Ryan series on Amazon goes alright. Only a couple episodes in, but my goodness is it some high budget stuff. Fingers crossed the story lives up to the money they seem to have spent on it.

There's a Danish drama on SBS On Demand currently called Greyzone. It's effectively Homeland meets Nordic Noir, which is a really refreshing stylistic change for the terrorist genre, as that bleak realism is a good match when it comes to the human toll that terrorism and the prevention of it has on those affected. This is brutal television to watch.

It's basically a magic show, he goes around and does magic tricks for people in the public, some of them are quite amazing. One of the first ones is the old test they would do with kids to test their self control where they would put a marshmallow on the table and say if they waited 10 minutes until he came back, they could have two. Actually it's better if you see it rather than me describe it ;)

This has been my favourite so far

WHAT?!?!?!

You haven't watched Daredevil Season 1 till now?

I haven't seen Season 2 of Jessica Jones yet but Season 1 was amazing! Wouldn't skip it just because of that.
