Will trade soul for ghost recon wildlands key.

Belay that ... no soul trading needed ... I now have a surplus of keys.

Beta you mean? I'm not fussed myself. I already know I won't be buying it at launch so I'll just wait and see how it turns out and for prices drops too.

Checked into another hotel, visiting a few of these with work lately but the good news is that my boss bought me a six pack of beer, very odd given that he doesn't drink. What has become of me that I take small measures of kindness with a great measure of caution?

Also, this shit is on like donkey kong, my hotel room has a spa!

Oh forgot to post an update cause we've been busy doing paperwork and stuff

Partner has been discharged from hospital. Swelling mass in her brain is a side effect from the radiation, they don't need to do surgery so she'll continue with the steroids they've given her to reduce the size.

Better news is the PET scan shows no cancer in the rest of her body and the MRI shows that the remaining brain tumours are all inactive so we won't be doing 3 weekly treatments anymore, just coming down for scans every few months to make sure it's all still inactive.

Still a bit weak on her right side, which is a side effect from the swelling, combined with the hospital not wanting to let her out of bed much for the 9 days she was in there, but otherwise good. We have packed the last of our stuff and are just waiting for the office to open so we can check out then we head to the airport.

Spent my $100 on GameCube games and Resident Evil tickets. 1 of those purchases was a lot of fun. The other was shit.

good to hear, grey matter or any surgery dealing with cancer can be problematic at the best of times.

Ten years ago today, I started working as a Java developer. Somehow managed to convince myself that this is the only career for me (i.e. what I'm good at and would get paid for) and not rage quit to go back to university.

I wonder if I could get a lock pick set through an airport, maybe not even a set just a rake and a torque wrench, it would be lovely to be able to open a window in a hotel for a change.

I know it's to stop people jumping, but jesus I can rent a hotel room with a balcony.

Depends on your state law if can have them or not but the question here is if the hotel went to the effort to lock them did they go to the effort to arm them with reed switches?

its taken a couple of weeks, but I've finally sorted out all my email subscriptions that are not my email subsciptions that other Doug Mylastnames have signed be up for because I got into the gmail beta the week it started and locked down Doug.Mylastname@gmail.com and for years I've gotten emails meant for other Dougs who have a middle initial or number at the end and they forget or the sender forgets to add it, So I've been getting emails for Dougs all over the world who have signed up for shit or requested quotes/bookings, an American Doug has a daughter who is constantly skipping school, but they have a second email address that gets those truancy notices so its all good.

There is a Canadian Doug works in IT and he forgets to put the A in the middle so I've gotten so much of his work stuff. always getting emails for jobs and I've started replying to them correcting them to the actual email address because forwarding them straight to Doug wasn't stopping him from giving out the wrong email, I figured maybe if he started to look dumb to his customers he'd do something about it. It worked.

Got my first job application response today (a rejection) from those government jobs I was applying for, what? 3 months ago. Holy crap that's a long lead time. If (when? when!) I get one of these jobs I'm going to still be getting stuff months and months after I've started working wherever.

Seems I've internalised the societal / workplace taboo on lunchtime drinking, so that even on a 33C day I can't bring myself to have a beer with lunch.

That sounds pretty normal with the application processes that I have gone through.
Did they let you know why you didn't get the job? If not then give them a call and ask to have a chat to the person who did the selection process about it.

It's pretty rare that I have a lunchtime beer, I generally like to hit at least 4PM
