These things are impossible to get rid of, I have a bait station set up, a trap that I use occasionally, they're impossible to catch using traditional rat traps.. it's like a plague
Line your grease trap in foil and empty it every time you use it?

We had a rat the size of my forearm living in a Hi Fi speaker (around 2011). Took months to work out where he would retreat too.

Saw him occasionally scoot across the hall, huge f**ker. Giant rat trap eventually got him behind the fridge.
I don't think he was even going for the bait, just had no choice but to run over it to get past.

Thing had to be over a KG at least.

Early reports at this stage, but there is a huge fire down the road from us - word is that some kids lit some grass on a railway corridor which then went straight through the RSPCA building.. so far only 4 Greyhounds have been able to be rescued :/

Been absent for a while - couldn't have come back to better news
NotThatDoug wrote:Better news is the PET scan shows no cancer in the rest of her body and the MRI shows that the remaining brain tumours are all inactive so we won't be doing 3 weekly treatments anymore, just coming down for scans every few months to make sure it's all still inactive.
It won't seem like it yet... but this is not far away...

Missus is out to annual scans now - gets a little worked up before them - her latest was last week - I was able to cheer her up by getting her some L&P for Waitangi day

During a search of her home, police found glue sticks and copies of the fraudulent barcodes on her computer along with grocery items with the fake barcodes attached.
OMG... they found glue sticks in her home? Were they fully loaded glue sticks? I can picture the SERT guys now, carrying out bags of UHU Magic stic's on the evening news.

Fine, yes I understand it is wrong and stealing, but it's also kind of ingenious in it's own way... :dodgy:

Haha I saw that, what a genius idea, didn't they sentence her to 9 months prison, then suspend the sentence or something?

Not too much different from swapping over price tags before barcode scanning became a regular thing.

damn NAB fraud assist have locked my card due to irregular spending, looking at my account now and there is nothing irregular about my spending the only current charges on there are the humble bundle, flowers and my regular coffee shop. wanted to pay bills today but no I'm stuck listening to their fraud prevention tips and horrible on hold music.

after about another 20 mins online they confirmed it was the Humble Bundle purchase that caused them to suspect fraud, I appreciate that the NAB team has a fraud department with their highly trained staff and algorithms who work to protect peoples cards, but they locked it down last night, a few hours after I picked up the bundle and a quick 5 min search of my history would have shown that I've purchased stuff from Humble Bundle a lot of times. They even said it was the video game purchase that triggered the fraud suspesion, but my entire credit card history is basically:

Steam/Humble Bundle/PSN/GOG
Coffee
Uber/Uber eats when I'm in Perth
Bills

Maybe my spending habits are that of an American right wing conservative voter and they thought it was weird I was buying the Humble Freedom Bundle

They're probably keeping an eye more on all the electronic gaming stores because they'd be popular places for credit thieves etc.
