If I didn't spend my D3 real money auction house earnings on Legacy of the Void DD, my bro's RoS digital deluxe upgrade and HOTS heroes that I eventually would have gotten for free, I would have bought this. Had enough funds to buy the digital deluxe version too.

I wonder if HOTS will unlock stuff for Destiny 2 as well - lol

I don't like that I can't like peoples posts currently...
The update did seem to break a few parts of the forums, hopefully they get fixed in time.

But awesome news MT, always nice to finish paying off a loan.

As long as it's not a box in the ground, I think you're doing fine!

My cheapie copy of Office 2016 Professional Plus redeemed on Microsoft's website but did not come with Visio or Project :-(

I'm going in to the bank on Tuesday with the view of putting an offer in on a property in a few weeks, it's daunting.

Congrats though mate.

unless you bought an asbestos pit on top of an acid field at a local biological dump, you will find it was a wise investment over the long run.

Well, it's close to that. It's an ageing 2 bedroom apartment at a time that apartment development in Canberra is skyrocketing. Still, it suits our needs and the maths works out over renting in the long term.

Ours is a little 3 bedroom, 2 acre property with granny flat about 20 minutes out of town, population is about 200 there. Not bad for <$300k.

That's a nice set up there. Sounds like the sort of retirement scenario I wanna be in. Been looking at prices of property down at the outer Hobart suburbs as I can really see myself retiring there. House prices also pretty good too.

The ass will fall out of the apartment scene in a few years like it's going to in Brisbane, people start seeing $$'s and over development happens

If it didn't suit our lifestyle, there's no way I'd get an apartment otherwise. It doesn't make much sense financially - just slightly more sense than paying rent the rest of our lives.

One slight concern with the new place is that the hot water system barely functions. It's one of those everready systems, so I'm really not sure what's going on with it.

I think it's already there for some segments of the apartments market here. Brisbane City Council has fucked up big time with over approving on developments. The only reason why I still have a tenant is because my unit is on the lower end of the spectrum so it's not like there's too much competing with me that's better quality for the same price. Better quality units are offering 4-8 week rent free periods from what a colleague found when he was looking for a new place a few months back.

Apart from the carpets that will be steam cleaned and a few bumps on the wall, our old apartment is removed of all traces of us ever being there. Glad I'll never have to clean for another rental inspection, but it's a good lesson in why I'll have to be more proactive in the new place.

Next step is to unpack the new place.
