Some of them get fairly fucking dark... I need to read more of them. Just have no idea where to start

I've got one from the 90's called Faust which was reaaaaaaly dark. Like had to show ID to buy it dark. The Hellraiser graphic novels were pretty full on too.

It's probably an expensive hobby to get into, and then you can't just throw them away when you're done with them so you've got to store them somewhere

I used to have a subscription to a few DC comics on their app, mostly the bat family stuff but then I just kinda stopped reading them, now is probably a good time to jump back into DC they've done another reboot recently.

I spent a bit of time looking last night and honestly it seems like the characters I want to read about are from years ago and either hard to get or expensive.. you read a list of "Here is where you should start" and the first comic is $150? Pass.

Interview didn't go as well as i hoped it would. It started with really specific technical questions about a technology I hadn't used for years. So I'm not sure how well I projected my competency. Guess I'll find out next week.
Found out today I didn't get the job. Looks like I'll be unemployed for the first time in 10 years come Friday.

That sucks Storm, but you seem like a pretty together guy. I'm sure you'll get it sorted sooner rather than later.

Do they not do reprints of comics? Or let you buy cheaper digital copies or something? You'd think comic makers would be all over digitally scanning their archives and offering that stuff up for sale.

Bummer Storm. As Yurtles said, you seem capable and have your act together.

Take opportunity to rest up and evaluate what your next step should be to set you up for where you want to be in life and things might work out better in the end.

Not that I can find, perhaps digital but I'm not particularly interested in digital media I'd much rather the real thing

Though I'm partly hoping to have a bit of time off between gigs so I can settle into my new place and get stuck into Civ VI.
A review that damns with faint praise

"Civ VI is OK - but I'm not sure that it beats working... ... "

lol, I like that idea. Something like "Was a somewhat effective time filler between jobs" - though I should probably get stuck into it first.

Two days of work to go. How I'm trying to look at the time off is that I got paid out my LSL pro rata when I left my last company, so the time off now has already been paid for in a way.

Mum and Dad moved out today after their 10 month stay. The home is feeling a tad lonely so I can start referring to it as my Fortress of Solitude again.

Also, now that I don't have mum around, my body's realised that I can now get sick and I feel the flu coming on.

So does that mean Mugsy can come on voice chat again?
And kill the flu with everything!!!

I need to find my headset first. God knows where I've put it like half my stuff.

But after mum and dad vacated all their stuff from the fridge (which was 98% of the stuff in there mind you), a bottle of Baileys was revealed. Expires next month too so I better get drinking - lol

Got into my first twitter flame war with some fundie nutjob. It showed me the limitations of communicating in 140 characters, and reminded me why I gave up on social media to begin with.

Social media sucks. I hopped off Facebook many years ago and have decided to stay clear of Twitter, etc as much as I can. It's only a problem when Blizzard announces things via FB or Twitter and not on their own website.

And it looks like I'm really getting sick. Gonna take today off so I don't get anyone in the office sick too.
