Yes, Ronald McDonald House Hobart copped the brunt of the storm and had to evacuate their families and relocate them to a nearby hotel as the house took on a lot of water. Cleanup crews doing their thing over the weekend, hope to be back to normal operations Mon/Tue.

Bro and I decided to catch up over dinner tonight. First place we stopped by had closed down :-( (a pretty cool mexican/south american restaurant).

Second place we didn't make it to... as we noticed the lebanese charcoal chicken place I normally go to is now open on Sundays!

We ended up making homemade pizza tonight. Always fun making your own dough, though it takes ages to "roll out" by hand.

Finishing the weekend off writing selection criteria. At least I have scotch to help me do it.

I'm off to Sydney this afternoon, not back until late Thursday night. I'd rather stay home.

The two favourite shows I've seen this year are Altered Carbon and Cobra Kai.. all out of suggestions after that

I need to finish watching B99, think I am in S4 now.
Hopefully by the time I finish S4 and 5 they may have released S6 under the new network.
I hear about all these great shows, but really struggle to sit and watch TV. So I never watch any of them...

Since Netflix is releasing content faster than i can watch it (plus the massive back catalogue of shows from other networks), my backlog is growing rather than shrinking. And that didn't even include the massive backlog of anime I've accumulated over the years.

Finished Cobra Kai last night and loved it. Haven't started on Altered Carbon yet so I think that will be a go. Maybe Jessica Jones s2 too.

Desktop PC rebooted itself twice in a row earlier. I think it's time to do a back up of everything quickly and prepare my bank account for purchasing a new PC.

Got my first ticket in 18 years of driving. 57km/h in a 50. I feel cheated somehow, it's so close to not even being a thing. But I did actually do it, so no excuses.

Looks like that's the case in Victoria. But I think I'm out of luck in Queensland. Googling a bit, I could potentially have a go at writing a letter saying how well behaved I've been and it's "totally out of character" for this to happen and could you please be nice?

But I don't know. $160 and one point is hardly the end of the world.

Agree. I've only copped a speeding fine once... was coming home across the Story Bridge and didn't know there was a fixed speed camera when heading north. The guy in the lane I was merging into didn't slow down to let me in and I was running out of lane so I sped up. I still remember seeing the camera flash.

I was working for the Department of Transport and Main Roads at the time too so a few weeks later when I got the fine, I just walked across the road to the other building and paid it. Didn't think chucking up a stink would do my career any good.

On slightly more positive stuff, I just gave my desktop PC a half decent cleaning. Lots of dust around, on and in it. Hopefully it'll help with the rebooting issue I've been having... but I'm definitely backing up more frequently now just in case.

Made a paint rack for the far too many miniatures paints I have

Then realised that we've bought more since I designed it  some bigger bottles are hiding in the hollow inside

I think I can tell what brand of paint you like using :P
I need to do something about my paints... currently they are filling up a pencil box thing I made while I was in school.
Mine are also all GW paints, as that is what I have easily available to me.

Yeah have a bunch of old GW paints sitting in a biscuit tin. I really prefer the dropper bottles and Vallejo had a good range, price and quality when I started buying paints again. Getting harder to get for a reasonable price in Australia though.
