Had a really good day yesterday. The body corp had a win in our defects case (though the war is far from over), my NBN started working, and I bought flowers and cooked for my girl following a disagreement on Tues night which, along with talking it through after dinner, has got me back in the good books.

Found a pantry moth in the new bag of brown rice though. And I need to practice with the new electric shaver some more. Don't know how to get a good shave.

I am fully prepared for Friday's arrival, but alas, it's only Thursday.... still, the weekend is so close, I can almost smell it.

As for the shaving, my father has always used electric shaver and I can tell you with some level of certainty that you will not get a close/smooth shave with one. You do need to use an actual razor, otherwise there will always be a slight amount of stubble.

Agree with Cherry. None of the electrics I've owned do a super smooth shave, but they are good enough to look like you've shaved.

I've always found them to hurt my face, never been a fan of electric shavers - good news is I prefer having a beard anyway.

Yeah, I prefer having a beard too but my thick, prickly facial hair... Well you guys know the rest. I chose my priorities. I'll live with the not so close shave as long as the significant other is happy with it.

I still have to set up that NVidia shield esp now that Nbn is working.

Beard hair isn't "prickly" though, not if it's properly groomed, oiled and cared for .... she's less likely to find irritation from a full beard than she is electric shaver stubble.

Hard to say with my hair. It's real thick and sticks straight out. Never been able to groom it properly. Burt I seem to be getting the knack of getting the best out of the electric shaver now.

Girlfriend over drank at a function yesterday and puked last night. After settling down, she got hungry after midnight and we went for a maccas run. I feel like I'm living with a teenager lol

Climate change protesters outside work disrupting traffic. It's resulted in me having to cancel passing my keys and garage remote to my property manager and they need to get new ones made so the tenants have enough keys etc upon moving in. The remote is at least $80. Thanks protesters.

I guess they have a point where protesting out of the way means it's easy to ignore them. Doesn't stop them being annoying.

Foreign Correspondent tonight is about the wave of vegan meat substitutes that are coming out of Silicon Valley. Should be interesting.

Personally I'm all for it. Competition is a good thing - it drives innovation and pushes up the quality of product. We all benefit from a push to make vegan food tasty because it pushes all food to be better.

I've noticed the latest craze is to call things "vegan-whatever" rather than calling them what they are.

For example, saying a jacket is "Vegan Leather" rather than "polyurethane".

I feel like it can be misleading at times to the ill-informed and/or not so bright.
