To challenge calls in the Greko-Roman wrestling they've given the coaches stuffed versions of the Olympic mascot to chuck into the ring. It's amazing. Pretty sure if they get the challenge wrong they don't get their stuffed toy back.

Kaori Icho won gold in the womens wrestling for the 4th Olympics in a row, thats pretty impressive, her wikipedia page however is pretty lacking

women's soccer has improved dramatically the top teams are great to watch, good football.

sailing has been great to watch, really good coverage and commentary with an awesome screen overlay displaying lay lines and relative positions on the course, the only negative was the 3am race times, I've lost much sleep this week... oh and we bagged many medals silver mainly and the new class the nacra 17 is a very good addition to the comp, awesome boat and nice to see a male/female duo crew.

and the boomers are hotting up, next game should be a cracker :D

poor old boomers so close to a bronze medal but they showed some class in taking it on the chin.

and how good is Chloe Esposito, I watch the last event and it was stunning to see her overhaul the 6 competitors in front of her, awesome performance and a pretty cool event the pentathlon.

and Brasil, 5-4 on penalties, that was one brilliant game of football I could watch that shoot out a 100 time :D

good games and coverage overall, sailing was my favourite, mens pole vault a close 2nd but many good events... great fun !

I'm excited for Tokyo now, good on them for using popular culture to get people interested.

the closing ceremony was pretty good; using mario was a nice touch and bodes well for the Tokyo games in 2020, they should put on a great show !

and how good are team GB, 2nd on the medal table and one gold ahead of china... fine effort and a long way from the jibes and taunts from days past...
