50% off Fallout 4 is a great deal. Makes it cheaper than the Season Pass right now.
If you don't want to commit to the Season Pass there's 25% off Automatron, Wasteland Workshop and Far Harbor during the sale. No sale on the Season Pass or Contraptions Workshop though.
Really worth twice the asking price though, bloody brilliant game.

The "three games in one" Final Cut version of Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing is 50% off, $22.49 - http://store.steampowered.com/app/400170/
Good indie developed Diablo style game with some funny writing.
Victor Vran, also sort of Diablo-ish, is only $4.99 as well. Also recommend that. And Titan Quest Gold, which is a bit old now, but also only $4.99. And Grim Dawn, from some of the same people who did Titan Quest, is 25% off, $18.74.
It's a good sale if you want more Diablo-esque games. ;)

I got Batman Arkham Knight, Catlateral Damage and Transformers Devastation, might grab a couple of the Sherlock Holmes games and Farcry 4 before the sales over but between the 3 I got and what I'm still playing I can hold off until the winter sale of the rest of the big story/open world games on my wishlist...

I picked up a couple of $5 games, Rage and Dishonored. Looking forward to giving them both a play!

I haven't played it, but from all I have heard that is the one Alien game that is really quite good. At that 75% off, I'd say go for it!

Same. I'm not a fan of horror games though so unfortunately it's not for me.

I'm also not in a position to need more games... but adding Half-Life 2 to my steam collection for US$1.99 looks mighty tempting.

It's the Diablo 3 effect... it starts going away when you have all 24 class sets collected with good rolls - lol

If you already have Just Cause 3 there's a combo with Rise of the Tomb Raider that has the wrong price so you can get it a bit cheaper to "complete your collection". $29.24 instead of $38.99.
Yes, I waited to take advantage of this before telling people. :P

Probably works in reverse, or for the whole bundle but I can't check for that.

Haven't spent a cent on this sale so far.
(In Fact I'm up a couple of bucks from selling some more idled cards and the free event cards.)
#Firstworld problems of already owning too much of a backlog. Handful of things I am interested in grabbing at some point don't have anywhere near a good enough discount yet. Maybe christmas.

One of the better horror games out there to be sure. Once you get the means to defend yourself from the Alien it becomes a little less tense and I feel the game suffered as a result, but overall it's a solid game. Really long too for this type of genre, I kind of felt it maybe went on a little too long, and was wondering when it was going to end. Take that as a neutral good or bad thing if you will.

As someone who has literally never even seen an Alien Movie I quite enjoyed it for what it was. If you're a fan, then all the references and call-backs that undoubtedly went over my head will probably make it all the better.

OK, I just read about how scary it is and I've changed my mind! I want to be able to sleep at night...lol.

Now I'm thinking either SOMA or The Talos Principal. Decisions, decisions.

I don't suppose you've played SOMA too? Both sound like great games so probably comes down to taste.

I haven't played SOMA yet, though I'm not a big fan of horror games generally.

The Talos Principle for me was satisfying for two reasons. The first was that the puzzles in the game were difficult, there were a lot of them, and they were really satisfying to solve them. The second reason was that the game spent a lot of time talking about the meaning of human existence - challenging the player to answer difficult questions and telling an interesting story about the human condition.

Well, I caved in a spent US$15.95 on a few titles...

- How to Survive: Storm Warning Edition
- Shelter
- Gray Matter
- Half-Life 2 (coz everyone should have a copy)
- Unreal Deal Pack (I only wanted steam copies of the 3 UT games but this was cheaper and gives me Unreal Gold and Unreal 2 as well)
