While plenty of people across this wide brown land are calling in "sick" today and taking an extra-long weekend, we're taking a few moments to reflect on what it means to be Australian. We're not talking about kangaroos, or shrimps on the barbie, or even the Hemsworth brothers. Instead, we're looking at the history of the Australian games industry, which spans an impressive 40 years.

This was a sad watch.

Feels like yesterday I was playing Leadfoot on my family's Pentium III 667MHz/Nvidia TNT2 M64 PC.

TY the Tasmanian tiger on the original Xbox was good fun, I never saw the 2nd and 3rd instalments Xbox versions for sale locally, I saw the PS2 versions for sale locally but I didn't own a PS2 at the time.

Krome Studios has come out of dormancy with a skeleton screw and released TY the Tasmanian Tiger remaster and TY the Tasmanian Tiger 4 on PC.
