I like it, mainly because I don't think of it as a console... to me its a handheld I use on business trips :)

Yeah I'm the same, but just disappointed in the absolute lack of interesting games on it (for me), if you look up the top games available now, most of them are still the same games from a year ago. Never mind the fact that ports which look interesting, are ridiculously expensive, and I just can't mentally justify $79 for something I could buy on a Steam sale for $5.

There is too much of a kiddy aspect to Nintendo which I just can't get into, which in hindsight, probably makes it not a great console for me.

I bought one yesterday, but I enjoy the cartoon style graphics. And love Mario games, always have.
So for me it will get lots of use, now looking at what games I can get for it, probably mainly look during sales though.

Well Post Scriptum is interesting, game lasted a good 2 hours, i had maybe 3 legit contacts the entire time and the rest of it was blind shooting. All the foliage etc is ugly as hell.

Because of the Steam promotional thing on atm I finally gave Left 4 Dead (2) a go. I really liked that, I was expecting something.. I dunno. Clunkier and a little more survival orientated I guess. But no, just a fun shooter.

It's official, I'm loving Post Scriptum - sure it's got a few annoying things that genre tends to have (long walks, no convenient spawns etc), but the gameplay is really there for me when I'm in a good Squad, or hell even just a Squad that's working together and dying together.

That's good to hear, Disco. It's wishlisted, will join you someday soon! I hope it has the same legs as squad has... I do feel that a WW2 sim might not attract as many players as the more modern equivalent.

And speaking of... have been playing heaps of Insurgency's co-op... just so easy to pick up, play and drop out as you feel like it.

Also, thanks to Battletech, playing Mechwarrior Online. It's especially good when you get a 50m/s Oceanic server, but even so... so much fun to be part of a bigger team in these very quick. very brutal battles. Bought a Nova (50T) for 8M C-bills then fitted it with 6 medium lasers and two c-AMS. Just had my best battle ever, scorewise. Seems that if you just buy a mech, the fittings are quite broad... so it'll have LRMs, SMRs, some lasers, mgs or a PPC. But if you cruise some good mech-build threads you can build a hard hitting mech that actually contributes to team damage.

I'm rating it higher than Squad, but for the price even if its legs only last a few months it will be worth it, but I'd be surprised if long term there aren't at least one or two full servers on an ongoing basis.

The worst part is getting into a CQB with a bolt action rifle vs another guy with a bolt action  That or being pinned down by armour, since your options there can be quite limited and get a whole squad pinned pretty easily.

Staying alive longer and longer, getting more and more c-bills per fight.

Sometimes though, you don't realise how swiftly the battle has moved until you realise you're the last one left on your team and crest a hill...

Not my image, but these moments in Post Scriptum make me feel like I'm in an episode of Band of Brothers..

I've been wanting a MTG Arena key for a while, and realised people were selling them fairly cheap on Ebay. I bought it and its pretty impressive, all current cards are in the game and the UI is pretty good looking and functional. Struggled a while with my limited cards but managed to put together a RB Pirate deck that has been pretty effective so far. Looking forward to the full release.

I also finished Prey doing a No Alien Powers run, at some stage I will likely play it doing a No Human Powers run to get the achievement. Which sounds easier but I've read it is MUCH harder due to having little resources and very low starting health.

I may have reached the point in my life where I cease to be a pc gamer, other than the odd 30 minute session in Roblox to keep my kids happy I haven't played anything in ages other than to get free loot boxes or whatever. Have games I should boot up (haven't done the expansion stuff in Secret World and bought Summerset for ESO too) but I just cbf'ed lately

You're not alone there, Kharis. Sometimes I find myself just watching tv (currently on my third playthrough of the entire West Wing series) and starting games up... only to then immediately close then when I realise I can't be bothered.

I've played a few hours of it and can't get into it to be honest, the animations drive me nuts and take up so much time just watching your stupid mech run awkwardly across the map.

There are ways to test.. games before buying them, I'd encourage it in this case unless you're super keen on it.

More of a time thing than anything else tbh. Too many games, too little time. Maybe once I work through my current backlog (including but not limited to: Middle Earth: Shadow of War, Dishonored 2, Prey, Torment: Tides of Numenera, Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun, Pillars of Eternity II, Deux Ex: Mankind Divided, Redout, Kerbel Space Program) then I can think about buying something new.

Yeah, these days I'm hesitant to just buy something unless it looks exceptionally amazing and isn't made by EA without giving it a trial run first, then I'll go through and purchase it if I see it but 90% of the time I try the game for an hour, maybe two and I'm glad I didn't drop $80 on it.

So Bethesda are teasing some sort of Fallout related news at E3... it better be something good and not something lame like a Switch port of Fallout 4 or I will go nuts :shifty:

Rumours are that they are remastering FO3 which would be ok but somewhat lame... it's too early for Fallout 5, I'm hoping they will announce a spin-off similar to New Vegas. There were the rumours a while ago that Obsidian had a project in the works called "Project Louisiana", a Fallout New Orleans would be super cool. Rad-alligators, ghoul voodoo priests, mutant jazz musicians... it would be the best Fallout setting ever :D

I have zero cares about anything Bethesda does that isn't the next Elder Scrolls game with SOME GOD DAMNED CO-OP BUILT INTO IT.. but given they have Skyrim on Switch it makes sense. Bethesda sure have gotten good at releasing their games multiple times..

ESO is good for some coop Skyrim type stuff or you can do pretty much all the content solo if you want too. Not as in depth being an mmo so there are bass classes but it’s pretty fun.

I might have to get the new Pokémon switch game when it arrives
