You'd all be across the monthly humble bundle I'm guessing... if not, Destiny 2 for $12

Re: Game Deals, Sales & Specials!
Yeah, saw that Humble Bundle... I didn't really feel it with Destiny 2 when it was released. Maybe I should take a look at the state of the game now.
EDIT: For those thinking of picking up that monthly Humble Bundle, I suggesting waiting a few more days to see what the second expansion is like. The first one wasn't really worth the money from what Youtube reviews have said and it even broke the base game upon release, locking base game only owners out of some content.
The expansion pass for Destiny 2 is $49.95 from the b.net app shop which brings the price of the full experience back up to that of a normal price game.
As it is, if a couple of us picked it up for a co-op romp through the base game's campaign, US$12 would be OK. But factoring in the expansion pass' price just makes it a full priced game so best to wait a few days to see if that extra cost is worth it.

Prismata currently free on Steam. Seems like a good little indie game to pass the time (not that most of us don't have a large enough pile of shame to choose from already).

For anyone looking at getting a NES Mini, you can currently shave $20 off by getting via Amazon:

I'm still on the fence. First thing I'd do would be to mod it with TMNT 2 player beat em ups, River City Ransom, and Sidewinder (a crappy top down shooter my cousin had that I found very addictive). But then I hardly play the SNES mini due to time constraints so I'd only be getting this for the nostalgia factor.

Yeah, I remember picking it up for my bro when he got his Voodoo Banshee rig (correction, I got him the Voodoo Banshee rig). Loved the graphics on it!
And then I got Unreal Tournament for us on day 1 and that took our LAN gaming escapades to all new levels.
Anyway, some more nostalgia...

Re: Game Deals, Sales & Specials!
Yeah I don't like using Steam on the laptop as I'm not always on wifi so getting DRM free versions of games is great... Assuming they run on the laptop I'm lugging around.

Re: Game Deals, Sales & Specials!
So you don't just offline Steam when travelling? I've been doing that for years without issue.

Re: Game Deals, Sales & Specials!
I had issues with steam slowing down my laptop to a crawl and a while back it had trouble loading if I didn't set it to offline mode before losing wifi. Couldn't access it on one trip. Granted, that laptop doesn't have a dedicated 3D chipset so Torchlight 2 is as good as it gets for ARPGs. I just run from a drm free install.
