The Seamaster is really nice - I want a Submariner, can't afford one, going for the next best thing imo

Don't have money atm to buy either though. :(

So what is everyones opinions on automatic watches are they worth it?

Also, for the people that have solar watches, have you ever needed to replace the battery?

Just putting it out there, I like the look of large watches and metal bands with a black face. Look for a Automatic watch if I can find something I like. Kinda what is pictured bellow. But I feel that the face is a little to small.

Thread needs more hairy wrists.

The skin I put on it isn't quite straight but I really can't be bothered fixing it.

My cheap Seiko SNk809? Is automatic and while I really like it for the price I do wish that I'd had an option for winding it other than movement.

I manually 'wind' the watch 2 times a day just to make sure it doesn't wind down on me and having to take it off and shake it is annoying, vs just being able to wind it in addition to it being self winding.

Just my 2c!

Sorry I'm only seeing this now! Don't know how this slipped my radar - but seeing a new post was made I figured I'd check out what was posted and boom, there's your question from back in December.

I got this instore - from a watch shop in Broadway Shopping Centre in Sydney.

I also prefer Automatic watches - simply because I hate getting the battery replaced - although my Casio is battery and is my only battery watch. The only annoyance to Automatic watches is if you don't wear them for a few days you have to reconfigure the time. The plus side is, you'll never be *without* a watch, if that makes sense.

Also - I'd really like to buy that Tag Heuer Smart Watch, I played with it briefly in a store in Japan. Was inches from buying it until I checked my budget
