Thanks, it's amazing. After what feels like a life time of infertility and all that drama, we are so grateful for this. Hubby has her listening to Slayer most nights.

I realised lately that I haven't got a photo of me since I separated in Feb... apparently I wasn't the one to take photos.

Definite highlight of PAX was meeting these two beautiful bastards, Michael (far right) and Lindsay Jones (far left) from Rooster Teeth.
Been a huge, huuuge fan of Rooster Teeth since I started watching Red vs Blue in primary school and Michael's RageQuit series has to be one of my favourite things on YouTube.

And getting them to sign my box of Million Dollars But was just delicious icing on the cake.

Hell yeah I love me some Rooster Teeth! Binged through the first 5 seasons of Red vs Blue when I was sick with glandular fever a few years ago, I think I'm a couple of years behind I should get back into it.

One day I'll get to PAX, then we all need to do a big group photo

Don't panic Celtic, even though child birth looks insanely complicated it's actually quite natural... though I am a man so perhaps look to other women for advice... but I think you will do good.. good luck Celtic :)

Thanks brim. Have spent the last day or so in hospital as they thought she was trying to break out, and borderline pre eclampsia. . At least I can manage my gestational diabetes. . Have begun nesting, and can't do anything else until we buy more laundry powder, haha.. 34 weeks tomorrow. .. getting closer!

The only thing I've been terrified about birth is bleeding out. Dunno why, it just stuck with me when bayles said it happened to his wife. But, I'll be in good hands. They know what they're doing.

Disco & myself at "Crafted Live: Brewed & BBQ'd" yesterday, before the cops shut down the event and we were forced out into torrential rain.

Essentially, the promoters got greedy and wanted a flat fee of several hundred dollars PLUS 20% of all sales made from food vendors - therefore, a lot of vendors chose not to book in this year with only three in attendance. The event ran from 11am-8pm, by 3pm you could visibly see the food vendors were struggling to keep up with demand and they were running out of food.

Around 5pm it started to rain, some people went home but a lot piled into the pavilion where the beer/cider stalls were as it was the only shelter available. Around 5.45pm I could see the Police doing the rounds talking to all the Brewers and then most of them coming out from behind their stalls so we asked what the story was and they said they had been asked to 'pause' service until further notice. After standing around for about 30-40 minutes without a drink they made an announcement that the event was being shut down because it was a condition of the liquor license that food be available for purchase and the food vendors had run out of food, therefore we all had to leave.

Now, I understand that part of it, if that's what the license is then the promoters really stuffed up by not ensuring they had enough food vendors and/or that the vendors they did have were able to meet demand - BUT - when they decided to announce it was being shut down was during a massive electrical storm. It was torrential rain, lightening, thunder, etc and about 1000 people or more spilling out into the storm to try and leave the venue 2 hours prior to the expected close time.

People who were being picked up did not have their ride there, the taxi company had planned to put on a lot of extra taxis but they weren't all in service at that time as they were coming on about an hour later and there was no transport available. The venue wasn't central to town, or any kind of shelter.

In my opinion, the decision to close it down actually placed people in more danger, pushing people out of shelter and onto the street, encouraging drink driving due to lack of alternate transport options, etc. The crowd was being really well behaved, the guts of the crowd were people aged 30-50 not young 'hooligans' and if they risk assessed it and took into account the lack of shelter, transport, etc they would have been far better to at least allow the event to continue whilst being closely monitored until the storm passed.
