What difficulty are you on? I normally play DOOM around Hurt Me Plenty or Ultra-Violence.

From the footage I've seen so far there is a lot of red and orange industrial lighting.
Still some dark patches, but nothing like Doom 3.

What's it like compared to the beta? Because I thought the beta was pretty disappointing compared to what I was expecting.

chirst almight i would rather have to deal with 8 dvd installs or so rather then a full day of waiting for steam to download 42 gig of the 6 gig install off the dvd

As someone who never buys a physical copy, I'm finding it quite amusing that I'm no worse off (and sometimes better off thanks to preloading) when it comes to getting my content quickly.

How do you feel about being forced to do "cool fatalities" on ever second mob?
Doesn't feel like a Doom game to me, more like a 12 year old's vision of a "better doom".
My dislike is rather heavy right now, strongly considering refunding.

Kinda surprised Nekosan, I've heard nothing but good things from everyone I've seen playing it.
I have no idea how else id were supposed to make a DOOM game in 2016. They took the best parts of the original 2 games and then added in modern touches.
Also, the melee kills aren't required and even though I was originally against them, I still do one every doze or so enemies.

Yeah the single player looks really good. I was watching Draqu (previous Devil Daggers wr holder) stream earlier going for the first clear of Ultra Nightmare. Gets pretty rough at that difficulty.
I've seen some of the easier stuff too though. Lots of projectile enemies with weaknesses if you shoot them in certain places. Emphasis on not standing still. and the movement in release seems like the fastest version yet. It looks very arena based, lots of duking it out in open spaces. The guns seem beefy, but the bigger enemies take a good few hits. Short of being able to afford the game I don't know what more I want.
Being forced to do cool fatalities all the time sounds nothing like what I've seen. It's a useful tool in the crowd control game, but I haven't seen it used on every other enemy by a long way.
Everything I've heard and seen looks really good basically. MP still seems shit though.

The most annoying point about this game is the checkpoint system. Is it really that hard to implement save these days?
