I'm happy to have finally finished the full storyline thing, no drive to keep going unfortunately. :(

Apparently David Brevik will be advisor on PoE and won't be working on a future Diablo game. Good thing I bought all those stash tabs for PoE so I can get into what goodness is churned out in the future.

Probably sneaking back in to pick up his old coffee mug.

But yeah if his tweet in the past 24hrs isn't lying, he's not working on Diablo and neither is Bill Roper.

I'm just gonna play Season 8 first and let them surprise me.

LOL. Fair enough.

I think clan activity in PoE is definitely at a minimal. We've also got 3x clan tabs too and a good number of items there for anyone starting a character in standard league. I probably will play again when the new Acts are released... though, I have a feeling D3's Necro will drop around the same time. I think Bliz see PoE as a threat now so have stepped up progress of the Necro.

They need to amalgamate all the games I like into one game... namely a 10 act, free to play game with an open, randomly generated world where you can traverse via waypoints or vehicles, pick classes like Wizards and Demon Hunters whilst wielding assault and sniper rifles, and seemlessly switch between top down and third person perspective.

They have passive respec points of which you can earn a total of 24 I believe by the end of the game but that's far from a full respec.

Probably the one thing stopping me from devoting too much time in the game.

Yes, what Mugsy said Andre. They have a very limited ability to change points. Considering how much flexibility there is in the skill gems system it's incredible they still won't put a proper respec system in. Game would be a lot more enjoyable for more people, but they're clearly happy with it, so... :(

They give out a free full respec every major update and you can use currency items to give more respec points.
Its a bit limited, but still extremely workable.

And hence begins the 6.7Gb patch download on Steam. Guess that's a sign for me to walk away from the PC for 2hrs and do something else.

I think Mythor and I will still find the respec system frustrating considering we're coming from Diablo 3 where you can respec at will.

The war map thing looks pretty cool. Wonder what happens if the whole map gets taken over by tentacle guy?

Might give it another shot in the expansion, depending on what the challenge league is this time. I might almost have enough patience for the game again. :D

Challenge league this time is Abyss: Enemies pop out of the ground?
I am not sure what that even is.
Also something about unique Abyssal Jewels.

Oh, I saw some details on YouTube. Apparently a rift can appear in the ground and bad guys crawl up out of the abyss. If you manage to kill the enemies the rift can spread further and open a second hole, with harder enemies crawling out. Beat them, rift spreads further, etc. Seems fun.
(Will look for the specific clip I watched and put it here if I find it.)

Skip to 6:05 if you just want to see the Abyss thingies.
