Considering my PC no longer has a dvd/bluray drive I had to bust out my USB 3 Bluray drive. That got it started until I realised I had accidentally plugged it in to a USB 2 socket and it was going to take nearly 3 hours to install just the 5gb from the disc, so I unplugged it and then replugged back into a USB3.0 socket.

Steam thought I was finished installing it that far and took over the download... now it it's only going to take 3 hours to install the whole lot!

Sorry Sath, ;)

As for the game itself, I just expect it to be buggy, that's what the modders are for. I shouldn't have that attitude but I do. In all the previous games, FO3, FNV, Skyrim I always hated when Bethesda/Obsidian would update the games because they would always break the great work the modders do.

Speaking of modders, there are already mods on the nexus (although most seem to be icons.. ) not sure about the workshop.

While War never changes, games do. Even gaming networks. Time to embrace the new (or learn to mod it out! :P )

Spent the entire afternoon creating my character, now I'm off to work I'll probably end up starting all over again later tonight because I don't like the bridge of his nose, or his forehead's too big.
Also Cogsworth didn't call me Moose.

Typed in my name as "Matty". Codsworth walks up to me and says me Mr Matthew. 10/10 goty.
I typed my name in as "Jon". He called me "Mr Jonathon". I'm quite astounded by the length of recognition they've given him!

And now I know why... his name is Codsworth. He was probably pissed you didn't get his name right. :P

But apparently, you can name your self "Fuckface" and he will call you that name. Image

I haven't really played much of the FO series, but I spent about an hour in game today and think I'm off to a good start - it's a shame that away for work this weekend, but I get to make up for it with a long weekend after that :D

The whole "rose-tinted glasses" only makes sense when certain features of the original are looked back on with fondness despite their flaws or drawbacks to that system. It doesn't really apply here given the specific criticisms made of Fallout 4. That 4 has lost its RPG elements has nothing to do with how anyone views the original.
