Been playing mostly HC and been watching people RIP left and right. Almost fell into that basket too when i DCed the other night. Already Guardianed my HC account so there's some nice gear there that would be painful to lose.

On my SC account, I've made a decent dent in them since last night. Got over the set dungeon hump... just need to run lots of rifts and GRs now to get gems up and maybe T13 in 4min... may or may not have done that when being carried last week.

I hit level 43 on my Barbarian. :D
I'm rarely that quick to level up but this season it's felt particularly slow, possibly because I've been swapping between it and Titan Quest? Friend has offered a powerlevel, as usual, but this time I might actually take her up on it. :D

Barb's been great fun this season. The starter set (IK) is super flexible and I managed to get an ancient IKBB out of my haedrig's gift.

So far, the IK HOTA build is my main but I also have Charge Barb and Frozen Fury (cold leapquake) builds set up as well for some variety.

I might try a Charge Barb, I pretty much always just did Whirlwind and spun through the entire game.

They're pretty fun but take a bit of skill to ensure you don't run out of charges. You either hit 1 enemy of 5+ enemies (you can hit 1 less enemy for every 20% cooldown reduction you have).

Makes fighting groups of 2 or 3 enemies a bit of a pain. Players have been asking for them to change this mechanic in the Raekors set to just refund a charge if you just hit an enemy.

I'm surprised to see 3-4 diff builds all top in the demon hunter rankings, playing multishot atm but I have enough good rolled ancient gear to try some of the other builds.

Lol.

Yeah, I'd like to know what their justification is considering it's Blizzard here and their products will be done when they're done.

Bought this on my X1... and enjoying it more there than I did on PC.
The controls really work well...

Also the 3 person split screen with my kids is working well. My youngest has chosen a wizard, and my oldest a barbarian while I have gone a witch doctor. Abilities for the kids will always be what looks coolest, and I will try to maintain a character that can kill most things.

Yeah, it's a pretty cool console port of the game. Current consoles have gotten pretty much everything the PC version has got and the couch co-op experience is something indeed.

Thought I'd start the year off on a high note and attempt a new personal best for my solo GR. Managed to get a GR84 done in 8min 47sec (in Hardcore mind you so I'm stacking more defense at the cost of dps) which puts me in second place in my clan and currently in the top 800 on the HC leaderboards.

The top guy did a GR88 so I'm not far off... I should probably grind it out and get my gear augmented as I could do with more damage and armour.

I tried finding the video I saw of this neat trick ages ago but couldn't find it though if you look at 3:38 in the vid below, you'll get an explanation of the afk player teleport feature that makes this trick work:

Basically, if someone needs to go afk and the other players don't, you can just put the controller down and when a player gets left too far behind, they'll be teleported to the rest of the players so progress isn't halted for the team (Blizzard really did put some good thought into making this couch co-op friendly).

So, with that in mind, if your kids ever want to play when you're not available, and if you're running a pet heavy build, they can add you into the game and score themselves some AI team mates and level up your witch doctor at the same time so you're not left behind. A build like the one below will give 16 minions to help tear up the battlefield but really, all you need is a short man's finger ring which will drop at lvl34 and equip the most powerful weapon you have.

https://us.battle.net/d3/en/profile/Swa ... o/88243057

I've been doing this trick when I play on PS3.

I will keep that in Mugsy, thanks.
So far I am level 12, they are both level 10, so I only have a couple of dogs running around with me. Will become better once there are more of everything I can have.

The player teleport thing can get really annoying at times, and sometimes it teleports the player moving away back with everyone else.
But mostly it works.

Managed to hit GR90 solo in hardcore with my barb. I need to start figuring out where I can sacrifice some defense so I can increase my dps.
