Is that a MOBA?

It looks like a MOBA but it'll stay true to it's roots as an ARPG MMO:

Cautiously optimistic about this, since Max Schaefer's involved and it's not just some random development team. Would love a new Torchlight to play, but it sounds like we'll be waiting a while still. :(

Same.

I enjoyed the first Torchlight but I've still yet to finish Torchlight 2 (though, have it installed on my tablet/netbook). The biggest problem with the ARPGs the "Blizzard North" guys made (well the ones I've played) is that the skill system is too restrictive. Spend too many skill points unlocking skills to try and you lose points to spend on those you want to specialise in. And a flexible respec system isn't available natively most of the time.

I hope in this game, the skills in the skill tree will automatically unlock as you level up so you can try them out and that it's only after unlocking all skills that you start accumulating skill points (say, 2 per level) so you can start specialising in your chosen skill. There shouldn't be any reason to look up guides from the start to avoid stuffing up one's build if they design the skill system to be more flexible.

It definitely looks like a game. I guess.

A few things I hope this game has...

- cross platform play (my bro's firmly on PS4 now and I'm not gonna get/play on one... given Sony's stance on cross platform, I don't see this happening but it would be cool if it was supported)
- clan support
- proper large towns and the ability to party up in game (I like playing with a clan but I wouldn't mind having friends/non-clan players around to group up with)
- unlimited skill resets... you know my stance on changing builds easily
- more stash space than they've had in the past... Torchlight games haven't had much stash space (at least not without making mules)

Figured it'd be F2P, if not at launch then some months later!

Yeah, it's why I think we'll see Diablo 3 get a F2P conversion like Starcraft 2 got come Blizzcon.
