Anyone played DS3 through on PC? Worth bothering to play through for the campaign? I have it on PS3 but everyone else I know who has the game has it on PC

Re: Dungeon Siege 3
I enjoyed it when I played it back in 2012. Didn't do the expansion stuff, just the base campaign. Combat can be a bit of a grind and there's a lot of button mashing rather than party positioning and outfitting like the first two.
It's fun but if you have it on PS3 and aren't interested in the first two games you may as well play it there. It's probably about the same, especially if you use a controller on PC.

Thanks mate. Yeah, if no one I know wants to play through the campaign with me, I'll probably just play it on PS3. I remember combat on the controller was quite enjoyable.
Though, I'll probably just end up playing RoS on PS3 so I can make that old school auto turret M6 - lol

I passed Dungeon Siege 3 as Katarina with a rifle build solo.
Dungeon Siege 3 is a consolized RPG, it's not a bad game but if you have played a prior game in the Dungeon Siege series don't expect Dungeon Siege 3 to be similar.
Guest players can not use their own characters as they are companions and can't keep loot found in another player's game

Ah! Thanks for the link mate. I remember reading that review back in the day and deciding to buy on PS3 for that reason. I can play on my machine and other's over at my place can be a follower. I also gave my bro the non-CE copy so he could play online with me too.
Guess I could always pick up the game on Steam and my bro and his mate can join me anytime for a casual bash. Would be easier than getting both of them over and playing couch co-op.

That's like me and unlocking this season's stash tab in Diablo 3. Spent more time playing than at work that week (and I still went to work full time that week apart from one legit sick day).

Re: Dungeon Siege 3
Well, I caved in and bought the game as part of the Dungeon Siege collection. First direct game purchase from Steam too. Should be interesting playing this and my bro and his mate can join me any time for some casual adventuring... no investment needed by them into leveling up a character.

Yes!! Mugsy, I have Dungeon Siege 3 on the PC since I have bought it from Instant-gaming official site. It can be well played on PC, but The magic of Playing it on the PS3 is a bit different.
