Haha someone had to draw first blood, and I knew he was being attacked on his eastern flank by Arabia .. who I made peace with after we each took a city off him :lol:

Looking forward to finishing this one off, next game will be no AI though :D

Gotta say that the game worked flawlessly... I was surprised that the only issue we had was when Nite tried to enable something and his game crashed.
But he managed to rejoin, only missing a couple of turns (in which the AI built him a new city)

And for the time we had gone and the amount of turns we had gone through... I think another 2 hours would have finished that game (Maybe less depending on who was going to make it to the end...)

Yeah, I know which city I'm targeting first next time! :shh: I don't mind AI, just not the barbarians. As discussed, I find them an annoying thorn in the side rather than just a challenge.

As for setups, since I'm Mr Mum 5/7 days a week, I might play with some different setups in SP to find a nice balance. A Midday start could work nicely I reckon. Also, who else dreamed in hexagons last night? :crazy:

Yeah an earlier start would have been good, might aim for a lunch time start next? Still it was good fun and will be interesting to see how it plays out in the end - I can't see it going well for me, I kind of feel that once you start a war everything else in your civilization comes to a halt as you produce more and more units :lol:

Haha, starting positions played a big part too...
I was kinda off on my own to the rest of you. My biggest problem was bloody Egypt amassing forces on my border.

Also I don't think my Steam screenshot button was working :( stupid thing...
Anyone else get some good screen caps?

I didn't dream in hexagons, but I did dream in strategy. The Persian invasion was never enough to take my city, but it was enough to prevent me to develop the resource tiles - that tiles I had developed were pillaged, and workers were continually captured. Sitting the workers under a powerful unit took way too long to figure out. Maybe I should wait a while before beer next time. :P

Did you finish the match?

I miss the map overview recap at the end of games ... wish VI had that.
End game info is so average now.

Be great if you could save a replay out after a game and you could play it back like you can in RTS games and such (obviously with fast-forward/faster speed as an option haha). I'd love to watch a game like that after.
