Into The Breach

Post by storm84 » 03 Mar 2018, 15:58

Started playing this today and I'm back into that FTL mode of cursing choices I've made before things fall apart. In that respect, it also reminds me of Invisible Inc. It's fun, but something so unforgiving about a strategy-heavy roguelike.

Yeah I'm really liking it so far... simple but effective in its design :)

I'm starting to get the hang of it - especially the role of failing and having to "restart" and go through it all again. Finally got a pilot with enough experience to make a difference.

What amazes me is technically this game could have been made at any stage of the last 20 years, but it is such ingenious game design that I can't recall playing something quite like it. I have unlocked a pilot that I now have at max level that turns any mech into a flying mech, quite useful in some situations.

I'm able to make it through one island on a regular basis, but I haven't been able to survive more than one at any time. Damn I'm enjoying this and also being infuriated by this - it's just like FTL!
