Project Cars

Post by Mini » 27 Mar 2017, 14:05

So since I got my wheel I have been having more and more fun with racing games, latest one that I am throwing time into is Project Cars...
Now I have been doing a few GT3 races with my brother and AI cars on various tracks, but I was hoping to get a few more humans involved.

Anyone around here have Project Cars and want to come join in some racing?

Also anyone recommend a track that isn't too retarded, but still has some good slow and quick sections?

i got it in a bundle a little while back but havent played it yet, could be a nice way to not get burnt out in wildlands. will get it installed and see how it goes with the controller

I tried starting with the go karts, didn't really enjoy it and stopped.

Later read that you should actually avoid them and go for more of the normal, slower series instead. Using a X360 pad also feels OK but I miss my old wheel (GT Force - engine in it died, locked into position).

My favourites have been the Road B class and the GT3's

Road B since they are cars that aren't supercars, but are still more road like.
And the GT3's as some middle range race cars, that handle nicely, and have a bit more oomph than the road cars.

i have a crappy old wheel i got for $10 on gumtree, and it felt really clunky on horizons so i think the controller will have to do

Bathurst has been the goto track the last few races we have done.
Been getting better and better at it. Trying to find a class of cars that has a couple of options that are close to each other in terms of performance.

LMP3 was horrendous, as my absolute best lap time I could get was on par with my brother worst lap in his car. Made for a race where he ran away and won by 30 seconds and I came a hard fought 6th (The other 4 cars that were like mine all got lapped, including some by me)

GT3 seems to be the best so far, with the cars either having good cornering or top end, and all of them seem to be able to compete

God the go-karts... Started a career mode with those using vr... Pretty nausea inducing.

Feel like I need a wheel to be anywhere near competitive though as a controller only feels marginally better than a keyboard.

Wheels do feel amazing, even my older G25 feels awesome to drive.
If you ever want to jump in with my brother and me then hit me up.
We usually race GT3 cars around a random track (Bathurst has been a favourite, but now over driven)

When I finally get internet, I'll have to patch up and see if I can make it for a race or two.
