A Starbound server once that game hits 1.0 might be cool?

I have also put a hand up for Starbound, could be neat. Not sure how much in the way of resources it takes though. And not sure if it or Terraria would be the better/more popular option. Terraria got updated again somewhat recently?

Would like a Grav server to play on but the server software is apparently finicky.

I'm actually struggling to think of much that I play these days that even need servers (as in they are either P2P or "developer controlled" servers, such as Rocket League).

Project Zomboid? Actually a rather cool game if people look past the graphical style, and does a better job of the whole zombie survival thing than the likes of DayZ. The persistent world of a server could be kind of cool for it.

Assetto Corsa? Though to be honest I wouldn't make that much use of it at the moment as I don't currently have a wheel. I could see it getting used though - maybe.

I keep coming back to my first sentence though - I'm really struggling to see many games in my accounts that need it these days. Not long back I was also looking at game server hosting companies to possibly host a game or two for myself, and I was surprised how little is out there now and how old most of the games are that they are offering to host.

I really want a sever for The Ship but I feel no one will play it with me.

Not that I even have Squad at this point, but that would be a good candidate!

With more game servers coming online, more players gradually taking to the servers, and the old gon one living on a limited life line, I wonder if a Player Attack/Escape.net TeamSpeak server could be a possibility in the future? There has definitely been moments recently where I would have made use of that.

Any chance of looking at a Grav server?
Not sure how many would use it, but might be something to see what people create...

I've been quite bored lately, so I've come up with some ideas...
  • Modded Minecraft
    - I'd be willing to make a custom modded server with whatever mods we wanted instead of just using a Tekkit/FTB-based server, it's not too hard - just let me know what mods/types of mods, etc you would like to use :P
  • Terraria
    - Probably using TShock as the server, allows plugins, anti-cheat, etc.
  • PvPGN
    - Not sure if we are allowed to run a "private" Battle.net server - but I suspect people would play Diablo II and Warcraft III online with it... think it also has support for Red Alert 2, Tiberian Sun, etc
  • Freelancer / Modded Freelancer
    - EVE Online, only better and easier to use... and no waiting several months to level up skills...
  • Quake / Doom
    - Not sure if these are popular anymore
  • Left 4 Dead / L4D2 / Other Source Games
    - *logs into Garry's Mod, creates lewd object, gets banned*
  • Neverwinter Nights
    - Just waiting for Internode/iiNet/TPG/whoever it is that has our database now :D
I've left out MMO private servers for obvious reasons
I'm sure I could think of more ideas eventually, but for now, people could be interested in the above...

Edit: Also Starbound could be interesting, I have it but haven't really played it...
Edit2: Minecraft - There's nothing wrong with Tekkit/FTB if you wanted to use one of the pre-configured packs :P

I would love to see a mine craft server with a few different game modes (skywars, uhc, parkour etc) thrown in as an alternative to the other mc server we have.

Maybe just make the other MC server a giant one with a hub?
