Mobile Phone, Bluetooth, Computer and Internet

Post by Treloar » 26 Jun 2017, 13:02

Update: Scratch all this.

Apparently my phone can access Internet, but other devices cannot use that Internet connection through my Nokia 208 phone.

Instead I have to take my sim and put it in a USB Mobile Broadband Modem to use the data on my sim account with Amaysim, that way.

I'm sorry that I can't answer your question.

You could consider setting the phone up as a WiFi hot spot and just connect the PC that way? Might want to keep the mobile plugged into power though because it can be a bit of a drain on the battery.

I believe you have to explicitly turn on the option for internet connection sharing on your phone (or at least I have to).

For me on an Android LG G5 it's in Settings -> Tethering. Old phone had it somewhere a bit buried in the mobile data settings I think.

Can you set your phone up as a mobile hot spot and connect to it via wifi?
That is what I usually do when I need to use my phone.
