Haaaaaalp!

Post by DarkMellie » 03 Aug 2017, 20:28

Came home tonight to a few issues...

One of my power boards has blown up.. not vital but it was the one I ran my Xbox from.

My monitors on the PC aren't coming on. Computer is firing up fine (or at least, it's lighting up) but neither monitor is working.

Wife says no power issues today, checked the fuse box and nothing tripped.

Just how fucked am I?

I got nothing for ya... I was raised to not do things I wouldn't want done to myself. And that's why anal sex is off the agenda.

Power board wasn't connected to the PC, more an indication that there was a surge I'm thinking. Currently playing Xbox via hdmi to the monitor, works fine.

I think my graphics card is fried :(

Random chance this might work (at least it does for some LAN card issues). Unplug the PC from the mains. Hold in the power button for 30 seconds. Plug it back in and see what happens.

well holy shit, Otto, that seemed to do it!

Maybe it was because it had rested, but soon as I got on tonight I did what you said and BAM. I'm back.

You have now effectively cost me an excuse for a card-upgrade so we're straight back to even :P

Thanks mate!!
