Here's a fun issue my FIL is having with his PC, windows did an update last week and now his usb ports dont work, usb keyboard works in the bios so i know its ok but once it loads windows drivers nothing happens, the pc makes the noise its supposed to when a usb device is plugged in but then it doesnt work.

System restore didnt seem to fix it so next step is a full restore and keeping his data, managed to find an old ps2 keyboard to drive windows with but i just thought it was a really random thing.

Can always try going into device manager and uninstall the USB driver/controller and then scan for changes to let windows re-install it. Could also check the mobo/vendor site for a USB driver installer.

Didn’t work in safe mode either funnily enough. I thought it would. Well we now have a ps2 keyboard to use if it stuffs up again
