Awesome! Should be enough of us to recreate out own little The Walking Dead team on the server lol!

I've been messaging with Mug about the server (and some changes to its setting). Not responsive yet but it will get worked out :)

I logged onto the server... found a fry pan, killed a couple of zombies, then ran away from the huge mob...
And all that in 5 minutes...

Hmmm... I'm fairly peachy for the moment with plenty of food (including non-perishables) and the main threat to my character is boredom.

I logged on last night. Within 2 minutes of spawning a helicopter went overhead which caused every zombie on the map to lose their minds, the house I spawned in became a death trap so I ran, I ran all day. Now I'm in the middle of the woods with no clue as to where I am or which direction leads out of the woods.

This is how I die.

Edit: A questions regarding persistence on the server. If I manage to make a little sanctuary for myself and then die, does all my stuff disappear or could I head to where I died on a new character and continue the legacy?

I'm fairly certain that what you build stays.. I was finding dead bodies yesterday that I assumed were from someone else killing zombies...
I ended my game in a 2 storey house. Need to find an axe so I can get some wood and start building a fort... or fortifying my house anyway.

We also need to work out a way of finding each other, that looks like it will be the hardest part.

Yeah we do need to pool our resources, also FYI guns make a lot of noise.. I got cornered and tried to shoot my way out, it did not end well..

We should also all be choosing a "class" that goes well with the others... I think my current guy is a fisherman...

Matty and I were using this to find each other the other night. The map's huge and confusing but once you find a landmark in the game it's pretty easy to determine your location.

That's not a bad set up Moose, I'll be loading up a new character later so I might give it a whirl and if anyone else is on, try to catch up so we can begin consolidating and creating a base of operations

I'll get a thread done up once all settings are confirmed, but a few settings currently are

- You should be able to claim a building as a safehouse if you have survived for 2 in-game days. (This excludes spawn buildings)
- Loot will respawn every few hours (real hours) if a loot location has less than a certain number of items left.
- Dead zombies will clear after 24hrs (real hours)
- PVP is on, but so is the safety system. Safety toggle is P (explanation of the safety system here)

The settings I have requested allow for claiming a safehouse. This gives you a safe place to store items. I have also gone for a setting that allows you to respawn at your safehouse. But to claim a safe house in the first place you have to have survived for 2 ingame days. If you die your corpse will still hold the items you died with, but your safe house will remain as is.

I haven't confirmed these settings are all in effect yet, but they should be.All these things will need to be tested.

Ugh, was just trying to test out the safehouse thing, needing to get to two days, and I died at 1day and 22hrs.

Does not seem to be working. Currently over 3 days survival and cannot right click on houses to claim :(

Currently having my best run so far, Mini thought he knew where I was and told me to keep running NW.. now I'm in the middle of no-where :lol: But I have some food and weapons so hopefully I can make it to him tonight.

Is PlayerSafehouse and AdminSafehouse both on true in the server options? Read that can cause problems for players trying to claim.

Yeah It is not working for me either. I made it to two days yesterday and I couldn't claim. These setting were changed before the server went down over the weekend and I will need to confirm with Mug what the settings are now (as they appear to have been reset). About to shoot a message off to him now.
