Interesting pic I saw on reddit, yellow regions the majority voted to stay, blue to leave. Got to wonder what Scotland's going to do about all this now.

I'd like to see a new Scottish independence movement just for shits and giggles.

Oh well, the people have spoken. Let's see how things pan out.

I think a lot of people in Scotland are regretting not leaving the UK when they had their chance. Be very surprised if there's not a push for them to leave the UK but stay in the EU.

Gibraltar was fun, 96% or so to stay. The UK should really just give it to Spain.

Interesting snippet of an interview on Fox News (yeah I know) with one of the "leave" MPs. He made it clear to the US viewers that this wasn't a vote an increasing protectionism for Britain, in fact it was quite the opposite, and that he believed the EU was too protectionist. Basically giving a finger to all the conservative Fox News nutjobs.

Well if the breakup of The Beatles and Spice Girls are anything to go by, I'm sure Brexit will be a civilised, amicable split.

The most disturbing thing about this is how few people actually voted...

Id be surprised if after the uk goes through the reccession they will have Scotland stays.
The economic arguement will see Scotland returnjng to the EU.

Very interesting times.

But nothing is going to happen for a while anyway. It will take a few months (or years) to actually go through with it.

But once they leave it will be interesting to see if the EU survives, Germany is the only main economy left in it...

Another interesting side effect... apparently this decision invalidates the EU arrest warrant that has kept Julian Assange in legal limbo for the last 5.5 years

I don't think anyone will be able to know the knock-on effects this will have for years or even decades to come

I saw them claiming that too and I suspect that's a very optimistic (read: delusional) assessment of the situation. It's a Swedish court that issued the arrest warrant and a UK court that agreed to extradite him. Even if the Brexit somehow invalidated the warrant or extradition order Sweden could reissue and the UK courts would still agree to extradite him.
But none of that will matter until the UK actually extricates itself from the EU in, probably, 1-2 years time. I'm sure he can wait a bit longer.
