Our Art (visual)
1) This is a thread for the visual art .
Drawing, painting, street art, 3d work, photography. If you need eyes to understand the art, it goes here.
It must be;
a) Self Created Artwork.
It is made by you, or someone close to you on their behalf. If you find an awesome artwork by some dude like Banksy or Da Vinci - that'd go in the random image thread. This is home made stuff, not art of the rich and famous (unless you're a member of the forum and are rich and famous and dead like Monet).
b) Visual only. --- Music / audio / Video deserves its own thread of thought. Though Writing is visual, it too deserves a seperate thread.
Let's see your creative output you clever people.

We let get this started then.

This is a Pen and Ink stippling drawing. All up I worked on this for about 20+ hours to. I had to add the black background digitally.

Here's a sample of some old desktop backgrounds I made in 3ds Max yeeeaaars ago:

Obviouisly, the last one is just the previous one inverted, etc. but I still like it.

Love the digital graphic art there Nacimota mate.
I think around 1995 or 96 I used to mess around with POVRAY (its still around it seems, but i doubt its pure text code).
apart from that i havent really delved into that sort of stuff, but it looks fun and quite effective.
packs a punch
and Kablekill that artwork should be on an LP album.

Double post, burn the witch!
Linking to the finished product off of my DA account because imgur lowers the quality and muddles all the details.

Re: Our Art (visual)
Our very own DISCO sent me a little wooden box to paint.
some photos.
Here it is untouched;

pre-coats of titanium white;

where i am up to right now;

looks better in the real worlds.

happy to paint a baseball bat, then you can beat some old dudes for real, with artistic flair.

Do you end up putting some kind of protective coating on that? I'd be worried it would rub off or smudge or something.

Re: Our Art (visual)
yes mate, ill clear coat it after ive finished it.
it works pretty good -

this is a mountain bike (i posted pics of it on GON but now its GONE).
the bloke rides it every week, often doing downhill dirty muddy rides.
the artwork is still staying on quite well.
i DID do a massive number 3 for a house, and the sunlight has faded it badly even with the clearcoat. but i think it was also using cheaper watercolour pens. this box for disco is primarily paint.
so should be ok i think.

bit more of DISCO's box;

gets harder to hold as more area is covered in paint. very difficult to paint sitting on the table, but if i hold it in one hand with the other holding the brush or pen - i find my hand is shaking a bit too much. have to take frequent breaks because the hand cramps up. but looking very colourful.

no its not finished, it needs some of the lines re-touched and some extra coats of paint on areas. shut up and stop being so damn judgemental.

I like it when you go all out on the colours, MT.
You know, some of your designs could be suitable for one of those adult colouring books. Are they still gaining popularity?......You could let the less creative people go all out on the colours

Speaking of colouring in, I bought a colouring in book and instead of relaxing me, it pissed me off.
Then I came across this video of a guy with the same colouring book and the same 'recommended' markers that I bought, and it's pretty much word for word how I felt

(Even the non-facebookers should be able to access this link)

I use the markers that have a nib like a paint brush much better. Those thin ones drove me bonkers too. But I prefer the pattern books over the garden /animal ones
