All from Massdrop, group buying place.

To see all the things...

My current glasses are from SpecSavers and I've actually hated them ever since I got them. I let a friend, who works there, influence my choices (she liked them, I thought they were just okay). When I see her next, I bet your arse she tells me how much she hates my new ones.

Tickets.

Gold Coast is the closest to me.
December 11th is the Gold Coast show.
December 11th is my birthday.
Couldn't have worked out any better.

Actually got decent 'Row A' elevated seats this time also, unlike last year's poor display of struggling to look over people's heads.
It should be GLOOOOOOOOOOOOOORIUS

Nice Stoibs, good seats are something you really need for any kind of show or concert.. we went to a Pink concert a few years ago and were in the second last row, I really could have benefited by taking some binocs!

I'm torn between getting the VIP package with a meet and greet and front row ringside seating for $350 or the elevated seating for $120, I'd rather go further back and elevated then be on the floor behind everyone else.

I spent way too much last year, and am trying to somewhat cut back. Otherwise I probably would have opted for the meet and greet also.
Plus those front floor seats are crap unless you can get *literally* ringside, since they aren't elevated, I learnt that stupid mistake the expensive way.

I opted for Premium Elevated this time. Decent price and close enough.

On a whim, I bought myself a lightsaber from Ultrasabers. Which entered me into a raffle where I won the highest prize....2 more lightsabers!

They do more movie accurate hilts, but these ones are a bit thinner in design and suited for comfort. as you can actually spar with them. The hilts are machined aluminium and the blades are polycarbonate which make them pretty durable. Of course they make all the noises you'd expect and flash when they hit something. Fully customisable sensitivity, colours and soundfonts by plugging it into your PC/Mac. Comes with 7 soundfonts already onboard and you can cycle through them using a single button on the hilt if you want a more Sith like set of sounds or maybe a particular Jedi. You can replace the sounds with anything you want really.

I've started weathering this one with some sandpaper as the black is just anodised.

I don't need 3 though, so I plan on giving one to a mate. It'll give me someone to fight with :)

So whatever you do, don't visit www.ultrasabers.com .....you've been warned.

Speaking of jobs

Image

Going to pad out my resume a bit with some new skills, no plans to move on from my current job yet, but I need to have a realistic plan if I need to move to Perth for my partners treatment and I'm already good at computer things and pick up new things really quick, but listing "I'm good at decribing the problem to Google and reading Whirlpool/Toms Hardware threads." Probably doesn't look as impressive on a resume...

 I have a shirt at home, I don't think getting the girls out will help in this instance as I believe the interview panel will be mostly (if not completely) made up of females.

All confirmed that we will still be in Perth until at least the day after the show so I got my ticket, missed out on the ringside meet and greet ticket, which I'm not really fussed about, being front row ring side would have been great but I doubt I would have enjoyed the meet and greet much, from pictures of seen friends share when they've been to the states for Wrestlemania its mostly just lots of waiting in a line to shake the wrestlers hand while they sit behind a table with a sharpie and stack of photos, not really my thing and it wasn't worth the $350 gamble in case our travel times didn't match up,

Atleast I got a decent enough seat thats a bit further back but straight on to the action.

Yeah there is a lot of CRM in Canberra atm, that is true. My old boss is managing CRM projects in Canberra atm and his architects are getting paid stupid money from what I've heard. Big shortage of good people.
