Have had my preorder in for a month now, it's looking ridiculously good.

Here's the launch trailer they put out today, if people haven't seen it yet.

I watched some of the leaked footage and the lighting makes the game look so much better.

It's crazy going back and looking at FO3 and FNV which were mainly yellow/brown vaseline-fests.

Can't wait to dig in to another big first person RPG.

That will be there no doubt, but I think the first mods will just be textures just so they can be first. In Skyrim I think the 4Gb enabler was one of the first needed mods.

I went with the Nuke pack from EB, which they currently have an ETA of the 12th for me. Next week could be painful but I might just take Friday off to play it.

It will probably be locked on Steam till release day anyway At least I'll be able to finish the download part of the install ahead of time.

Although everyone is frothing at the mouth, and I'm really keen to pick this up I think I'll wait and see how it goes at launch first, then decide if it's worth buying straight away or waiting for a sale.

Still on the fence about whether to buy it on PC or PS4 though

Ordinarily I would say PC is a must for a Bethesda game, but they are hoping to have mods come to consoles this time. If they can pull that off the difference narrows considerably. Won't be getting all the fancy texture packs, but if someone builds a new Vault I could see that getting in.

A cool ~$5/$10 purchase for the 'everything inclusive GOTY edition' sometime in 2016/2017 for me.
Though that's more a case of me being in the %1 minority comparatively with the rest of the earth's population (who are apparently salivating all over this FPS heavy; non-rpg game) and not actually finding anything I'm seeing or reading about it thus far too appealing or interesting to my tastes at all, compared to what my once favourite franchise was before Bethesda decided to genre change it all up and make some very questionable changes.

Eh, suppose I should brace myself for the plethora of "FALLOUT 4" news articles and topics over the next few weeks until we can get back into more general coverage and news in any event.
