Paying without a wallet isn't a problem thanks to Android Pay. And most of my loyalty cards are scanned into the phone. The lack of driver's licence is the big deal tbh.

I should just put my driver's licence in my phone case since I know where my phone is at all times. :P

annoying part was that it made duckie tv stop working (it would grab stuff automatically as long as it was running)

LOL. The hackers are slacking off.

I'm housesitting at my bro's place. Forgot to pack a bunch of things... glasses case, cloth for wiping my glasses after I was them, and most importantly, my Blizzard battletag. Can't log into my main account but my alt account is linked to the battle.net app on my phone. Looks like I'm playing HC tonight.

OK... I've held my tongue long enough...

We have a bunch of elected officials who don't understand that the Constitution isn't something that they get to choose whether they comply with or not...

We have a Minister (Dutton) who says that the government is frustrated by its Constitutional responsibilities ... ... "Well, there's constitutional issues involved as you well know [and] we can't pass legislation to dispel with that difficulty of the constitution - so we defend these matters, we fight them in the courts, and it is incredibly frustrating." who then goes on to say that people using the laws of Australia to protect and represent oppressed or dispossessed people are "un-Australian"... and is accumulating various legal, investigative, and enforcement arms of gov't...

I'm seriously considering moving somewhere that actually understands and respects Australian values...
The missus is still a Kiwi - and the kids have citizenship rights by descent...

Woah, 2 builders in the local area have just gone under... one with $14m in the red, the other 1.6m in the red or so, with a huge number of unfinished houses in both their names. Those clients are going to get shafted.

Saw this gif on Reddit showing the radar track of Harvey. Makes it pretty obvious just how much rain got dumped on Houston. A lot.

And most of the time builders like that just start back up under another name, it's a total rort.

It's a total rort, though in a small town possibly more difficult to get away with but there are plenty of small towns to move onto; tough on the tradies and customers owed money/finished product.

Fairly certain in NSW at least that you'll find they'll both lose their builders licences as part of the process, either way they wont be doing any trading around here anymore.

Had a shower screen repair man come around. A problem that I had been told previously that may have required replacing the shower with a new one is actually quite fixable and only takes a few hours to do. More money for a holiday methinks!

bad decision by the ARU, WA did/does have a strong supporter base and a rich benefactor and a decent team sporting a few wallabies, the irony is the next test will be in Perth;
ARU has had a really bad year and their support for the women's world cup was pathetic, decisions I think they will regret in the coming year.

I'm not a big fan of Twiggy but the ARU deserves a hornet in the nest to stir things up, give em hell Twiggy :D

edit: looks like its hit Federal politics with an inquiry on the cards:
