It is usually more a case of animal sitting than house sitting.
And usually the people doing the sitting don't have animals...

Also being back at work is hard... days are long... work isn't exciting currently... and I need to go through recruitment process again...

I still have 2 days of jail time, I mean house sitting to do myself. Can wait to get back to my own home where there's no needy cat.

At least the next time I'm at my bros I will have a full set of coke glasses to use!

So who looks after all your houses while you are house sitting?
Mines an apartment that is easily locked and unless some wanker neighbor does something stupid and burns down the place (they are smoker free apartments), things should be fine.

And yeah it's more about siblings taking advantage of you looking after their pets while they are away rather then paying to board them... only family know how to really twist things to make you do their bidding. :D

Works both ways mate... works both ways ;)

One of these days I should use some of those IOUs I've gotten off my bro.

In some ways, I don't mind it. Gives new the chance to get back into the routine of the job without the usual pressures added on to that.

We've got nothing to do at the moment - not until the next source drop anyway - so it's really boring here. That'll change in the next two weeks and become a mad rush to meet an impossible deadline.

In at work and it turns out they've moved desks on our team in the time I had off. Luckily only part of the section was moved, so I was able to find someone who knew where I was meant to be.

Only downside to the move is someone on the floor has a 'deadly peanut allergy'. Since we often cook with peanuts (and use peanut oil) and I usually eat leftovers for lunch, this is gonna require a change in my eating habits.
Really should keep all those "special" people on their own damn floor :D

Yep, it's pretty warm here. Good day to get some washing done and dried.

There is a fire in Carrum Downs which isn't to close to me but I can see the smoke.

Well, it'd be a funny old world if we were all the same Disco. I mean, your opinion of cricket is wrong. But what I'm saying is that that's still ok.

Watch it if you like it homie, my problem is that it just takes over EVERYTHING.. we effectively get cut down to 1 radio station because one is full of cricket commentary.

I like my sports to be.. interesting to watch, fast paced, high scoring. Not a bunch of wankers throwing balls weirdly

Yep, I listen to it in the car (unless doing a super long trip) and I stream it all day at work - so all up, probably about 40-50 hours of radio for me in an average week.

I guess I've had no use for the radio since I got my first iPod and could load up a ton of music. Probably helps that I have really bad taste when it comes to music, so no station (not even JJJ) really plays anything I want to listen to. Only time I can remember putting on the radio was to listen to the cricket on a long drive.

Guess I just figured people use YouTube or Spotify or whatever abomination Apple has on its ecosystem instead, and podcasts became the way people consumed inane people talking. ;)

I have a 4Gb USB in the car which I really should replace with 8Gb stick so I can put on more music... but there's only so much more music from the 80s and 90s I can discover.

Sounds like my car, Mugsy... if it's not my usual favourites (NiN,Soundgarden, etc) it's an 80s or 90s mix playing on Spotify. Good times.

I have a 8GB USB stick, which I curate with potential albums I want to listen to on the trip. I usually put 10-15 albums (I only listen to full albums) because any more is difficult to manage with the navigation being track but track.

I use Spotify as well, at work or on long trips - just depends on my mood I guess.

The only problem I have with Spotify is its all the same songs in the playlists I like to listen to, and the Top 40 only gets updated every 8 months
