i enjoyed altered carbon, currently up to the last episode of season 3 in black mirror, it definitely gets better as it goes on. there are a few things that run through the whole series which i think is cool but otherwise each episode is stand alone with some overlapping themes

Season 4 of The Bridge is up on SBS on Demand. Powered through the first half of the season on the weekend, and expect to get through the other half inner the next few nights. Scandinavian Noir has been one of the hallmarks of the Golden Age of Television, and The Bridge really is the pinnacle of the genre. Socially-conscious psychopathy is inherently more interesting to watch than the nihilistic psychopathy of American media.

Also, glad that Homeland is back. I like that each season is somewhat different in tone and content; keeps it interesting.

Yeah, I'm loving Homeland so far. I like they kept the Brett O'Keeffe storyline going, he's great at playing that role IMO. Although...
...last week's episode where she got cryptolockered was a bit dumb. I mean most of the time that happens it's not someone from the US doing it for starters, and there is no way a trained security officer of her standing would fall for that to begin with. The beatdown she put on the creepy nerd was satisfying though :P
Really enjoying Star Trek Discovery as well. After thinking Altered Carbon was a bit underwhelming (and The Expanse as well) I wasn't sure whether I was going off scifi or not. But they have updated Star Trek enough to keep it interesting by making it a continuous story rather than a collection of episodes.

And Ash vs Evil Dead Season 3 started today :D

My first thought with that was "why didn't she just turn off her computer and smash the HDD?" Also "what the hell was she thinking to click a link on 4chan?" Felt like she made problems worse for herself by trying to pretend it wasn't a big deal.

Mrs Disco and I have recently started watching Suits, I think we're about 4 episodes in and enjoying it so far.

It reminds me a lot of House actually.

Suits is pretty great, I enjoyed it for quite a while. Just be warned that it gradually stops being about law and cases and instead becomes almost solely focused on office-place drama.

As soon as you get tired of that side of it it's probably best to let it go - I stuck it out for 5 seasons before I finally realised the good stuff was never coming back.

Recently discovered The Good Place and quickly powered through both seasons. I really enjoyed how cynical the show is about human nature, but does well to be subtle in expressing it. "This is why no-one likes moral philosophers" isn't something I'd normally expect to hear in a sitcom.

You've absolutely nailed it, Yurtle. As soon as the schtick about his perfect memory stops being mentioned (somewhere around the start of season 2) it remains awesome but ever so slightly goes downhill. When Meghan Markle's role starts to step up is when Suits is at its worst... absolutely hated her mincing, pathetic character.

The scene in the sperm bank with Ash being attacked by the porn stars arm coming out of a porno mag omg hahahahahaha

Put off watching Wind River for ages because the description for it didn't sound so great. It's turned out to be one of the better movies I've seen in a while.

While I am watching it, I'm finding the second season of Atlanta to be kind of underwhelming. I feel like they're focusing a lot more on cultural stuff this season and for someone ignorant of the specifics of that I'm just not vibing with it.

Watched Downsizing. That movie takes a super weird turn. I don't know why they did that.

yeah I know right?

And in the end you almost feel like the whole downsizing aspect was a waste of time.
