Briefly excited by the jumper wires, thought you were doing something 3D printery. :P

Sensor thing sounds like a fun project too though!

Haha, yeah it was a build they had on Jaycar and had it at 40% off if you bought everything together.
Thought it was something to start with, might try more things and get myself back into coding afterwards

Went to a little local/handmade pop up shop this morning and picked up these:

Image

The Porcini Mushroom is just a mixture of sea salt, lake salt and dried porcini mushroom and it's an amazing addition to mashed potato.

The Salt & Spice Rub is a mixture of sea salt, cumin, paprika, chilli & (I hope only a tiny bit of) coriander. I haven't tried it, but it's meant to be sensational on steaks.

New cooktop/oven yay!

Side note: Just because they say it's 540mm wide doesn't necessarily mean it's actually 540mm wide.

Just noticed it's super shiny and reflective too.

Bought some new books recently...

I have finished this one already and can say with some degree of certainty that Eleanor Oliphant is most certainly not completely fine.

This one is next:

This one has decent reviews, but a friend who generally has great taste in books aborted this one 1/3 of the way through:

Upgraded from IQ3 to IQ4, just for the simplicity of being able to access Netflix through the Foxtel box.

Bosch dishwasher to replace the old one at my old property. Need to do a 1.5hr round trip to pay for it but will take the opportunity to drop off keys at my old place for the property manager and also do my own measure up to be sure it fits.

I wish we had a dishwasher, or at least a double sink, having the single sink is annoying

Disco's boss slung as a little $200 cash bonus a week or two ago, so we put them towards some comfy chairs for sitting/reading in the sunshine.

Ironically, the girlfriend and I were looking for chairs today too, though we're on the hunt for dining table chairs... found a furniture store that actually does a nice emerald green velvet material for their chairs that matches our living room colour scheme but they didn't have that material for the chair size we're after. Their regional stores have the right chair size in the emerald green though so we're hoping the sales person can get 4 of the chairs delivered from 3 or 4 of the regional stores that have stock. We're happy to pay extra... it's just been a pain to find chairs in that green colour.

Apart from that, my purchases today include fuel and groceries only.

Bought some 'activewear' as, despite the massive dump of snow on the weekend, spring is just around the corner and I like to get out walking the puppers when the weather is nice.

Wow that’s a chair alright.

Reminds me of the room at my aunties house where nobody was allowed to go in when we were kids. Had all the fine china and horrendous furniture in it :)

Eh I like Green, it's a nice colour.

Regarding the Block, I know a builder that was part of the "fix up" crew that fixes all the shit the idiots do wrong before they can auction it, if they were building for a consumer you'd be fooked, because nothing is done to the correct standard. I remember him saying one apartment had something like 137 defects, some of them serious code violations.
